  2. Im downlaoding a 583 MB mp4 from Youtube what's the difference between it and that 700 MB flv posted?

Is it just a higher quality video stream? Or is the audio also significantly better?
  3. thank you, i actually just found an mp4 torrent at isohunt.
  4. for all of you complaining about how bad the show was, i can tell you it was a great show! sure a lot of you are watching at home, so it doesn't compare to actually being there. From where i was, it was great! the set list was fine(could have done without Walk on, but hey, at least they got rid of Pride!). I think for most of us who missed Elevation and Vertigo (sold out too quickly!!!) i think it gave us what we missed on the last two tours, plus quite a few new songs. Everybody around me was up and singing throughout the show and the energy was there from the crowd. The only thing that sucked was the 1 1/2 hours it took us to leave the park! Would I do it again! Hell yeah! and probably will when they return to Angel Stadium next year!

I'm sure it was fantastic seeing it in person, it's a world first event you would have to be trying pretty hard not to get excited.

But for us who weren't lucky enough to be there, it was a pretty mediocre performance compared to some of the other boots we've watched or heard. (i'm sure a concert like Sheffield or Milan, would've been even more amazing if you saw them in person too)

  6. oh cool! thanks for the advice. so the video i already downloaded can be converted to ipod with this tool?
  7. My sign worked!

  8. Brilliant! So the signs do work.

Review from someone who was there - http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1303804&p=4:

    I was. :-)

The Yanks know how to make a day of it. Got there at 9am and tailgated all day. It was quality. I hung out with a dude from San Diego all day, and we were both interviewed by ABC News, and apparently on the local ABC News at 6pm. Obviously didn't get to see it, but heard from others who saw it.

The wait paid off, nabbed a spot near the back rail inside the inner circle, on Edge's side.

Support was the Black Eyed Peas, and whilst I'm not a huge fan, they freakin rocked the place. Second last song they introduced a special guest guitarist for the next song, Slash came out, and Fergie (and nearly 100,000 people) sang Sweet Child O' Mine. It was AMAZING to hear so many people just belting out the lyrics.

Not much else to say about U2 other than the show was brilliant. Completely out of this world. Every U2 fan needs to experience Where The Streets Have No Name live at some point in their lives. I've seen them a few times, and a few times on the 360 tour already, but this show blew everything away.

Angel Stadium in Anaheim, June 6 2010, is looking mighty tempting right now.

I just started watching the replay on YouTube, it took less than 2 minutes and I've seen myself twice already. Heh. :-)

Took some awesome photos, and some even better videos, which may make their way to YouTube at some point. Can upload a few photos if anyone is interested in seeing them.
  9. After watching the whole show again I have to say that I think many of us are unfair towards the band, especially Bono. His voice wasn't bad, in fact, it wasn't any worse than on other shows, at least for most of the show. During Crazy, you could clearly hear him overstraining his voice and it wasn't too good from that moment on, but overall I guess it was a good night for him. Bono today is quite good even on his bad nights, I think he has more control over his voice. There were some hightlights I really loved about this show and some stuff I thought were not so great. I love the fact they're still having all original 7 NLOTH songs in the set, even though people were pessimistic and said they'd lose them during the tour and go back to playing a Greatest Hits show. This just shows the band believes in their new material and most of it is done really well live, especially NLOTH, with is my favourite, and Crazy Tonight. Moment of Surrender was so beautiful, it almost made me cry. Mysterious Ways was a highlight for me, great voice, great energy. And I loved the fact that Bono was on the catwalk so much.

We all are spoilt from seeing to many videos and listening to too many boots from this tour, we tend to over-analyze every little detail instead of just enjoying a great show. A webcast would never match the actual live experience or come even close to the emotional appeal a concert has when you're there. Seeing the shape of the stadium and the enormous crowd, I totally understand why they wanted to film the DVD in Rose Bowl. I miss the crowd action, though, and consider crowd shots to be an important part of a concert DVD.
  10. Can somebody post a link to the 800mb flv file? The one I can only find is half the size!!

    Thanks
