His voice wasn't bad, in fact, it wasn't any worse than on other shows, at least for most of the show. During Crazy, you could clearly hear him overstraining his voice and it wasn't too good from that moment on, but overall I guess it was a good night for him. Bono today is quite good even on his bad nights, I think he has more control over his voice. There were some hightlights I really loved about this show and some stuff I thought were not so great. I love the fact they're still having all original 7 NLOTH songs in the set, even though people were pessimistic and said they'd lose them during the tour and go back to playing a Greatest Hits show. This just shows the band believes in their new material and most of it is done really well live, especially NLOTH, with is my favourite, and Crazy Tonight. Moment of Surrender was so beautiful, it almost made me cry. Mysterious Ways was a highlight for me, great voice, great energy. And I loved the fact that Bono was on the catwalk so much.

We all are spoilt from seeing to many videos and listening to too many boots from this tour, we tend to over-analyze every little detail instead of just enjoying a great show. A webcast would never match the actual live experience or come even close to the emotional appeal a concert has when you're there. Seeing the shape of the stadium and the enormous crowd, I totally understand why they wanted to film the DVD in Rose Bowl. I miss the crowd action, though, and consider crowd shots to be an important part of a concert DVD.

  4. Drew i already have the 500mb file.. the 797mb one is better
to view. thanks though for the new links...

  5. .........the flv is 326Mb? Not 800Mb?

  6. there isnt a 800mb file. 583mb is the biggest one
  7. Not true.
Previously an flv-file of around 800Mb could be ripped from the youtube broadcast. Some posts down in this thread people were talking about it.
  8. Sorry I wanted to reply to this and clicked twice.
But at last here is someone who I can agree with. I got up to watch the show and can honestly say that Bono and the band put an awful lot into it. If there was ever anything wrong with his voice it's simply because he gives too much and perhaps should try and hold back just a little energy and save the vocal chords just a touch because it's a very long stint. He and also 'we' expect him to be able to take she show to the heights with his wonderful run that lifts us to the heights. But we and 'he' should remember that the guy is 50 next year. Maybe this stadium is not what everybody would have wanted. I would love the Sheffield show on DVD because I just like the whole feeling of the crowd connection. But we can't all have what we want. All I would like to say is thanks to my favourite band for having the courage to throw themselves to the lions and to take part in something as brave and new as a live show, without the luxury of careful editing. Thanks to Bono for giving his absolute ALL for the benefit of our entertainment and for making my life more pleasurable just by listening to his very meaningful words and being part of the sheer excitement created by U2.
    THANX THANX THANX
