1. gotta love bono at the end of vertigo.

  2. OK not all the time. Did you search specifically for that.

    Plus Bono wasn't looking...

According to anyone here who was actually at the gig, it seems the intensity etc was just fine.

And Sydney was 16 years ago. They were in their mid-30's. Bono is 50 next year. You can't compare them.
  4. For Lyndon's quoted post above:

    So fucking what.
  5. Could everybody stop the negativity, please?

    - Be thankful U2 broadcasted the LA show. They also could have decided not to.
    - Why LA was chosen? perhaps because 90.000 people filled the stadium, live from LA sounds better than live from Denmark and it was dark at the start (sorry Europe).
    - Will it be used for a DVD release? Nothing is for certain, remember milan 2005? Everybody was full of it but in the end it was partly included as a bonus for the 18 singles pack.
    - Probably shows in 2010 will be recorded too.
-The final DVD release: perhaps footage from different shows.
-Appreciate these guys are still on stage (ask Pink Floyd fans how much they would like their band back on stage)

Till then, enjoy the LA footage or otherwise turn of your computer and put on an old U2 DVD.

  6. Webcast was awesome! Great idea ... more bands should do this.

Surprisingly good Stuck In A Moment
    Great One, great Streets
Okay crowd: better than former 2 tour dvd's...

Production is indeed boring, a lot of save shots. Anyway it was live, not much time to do anything decent. A lot of fuckups to fix though.
  9. Thanks Chris for the show and I must say: it wasn't all that bad. Read some good reviews today and let's quit the discussion. It wasn't the best, not the worst either. Fair kop for trying and they pulled it off nicely anyway. Can't blame them for making some mistakes, no one is perfect.
