1. I think a lot of us are sick of "Moment of Surrender" closing out the show. I don't mind if they want to play it- even if they want to play it in the encore, since it's their "opus" at 7 minutes long...but I think we need something much more connectable/new/gripping.

    MY VOTE-

    So Cruel

Honorable Mention: Kite- has a very 'finale' feel to it, and it's very familiar to fans, as it was played frequently on the Elevation Tour, as well as a couple of late Vertigo shows.
  2. The only song that should ever close a u2 gig......40

  3. When I left my gig- 9/13 Chicago- people were singing it all down the streets anyway. I'd still love to hear it as a closer, dont get me wrong- but I've always envisioned that working better in an arena...though it DID close out PopMart pretty well. I'm still sticking with "So Cruel"
  4. Yea 40
  5. If i can't have 40 i want Love is Blindness....they brought back the most underrated song from Achtung Baby in 2009, time for the 2nd most underrated in 2010

With few exceptions on ZooTV, I though that was a bit of a weak show-closer too. I think a lot of the ZooTV crowd stuck around to hear it because it fit the mystifying set and the shock value of closing with such a punch of a song like that kept them watching in awe.

If it got played in 2010, the crowd would just file out again like they're doing now.

    But I would be happy.....
  8. Bad - ending with a snippet of 40.
  9. Totally out of chances, but "Shadows and tall trees". (I mean it, really. Hey, who'd ever have guessed the Vertigo Tour would end with Pearl Jam Rocking in the free world at the encore?)

Coming back to Earth, I also wish the encore gets longer. Or that they get into fashion and play Achtung Baby all way through.
  10. No-way-it-will-ever-happen wish would be "The Wanderer" (I think it would be a great grounding end to the show like it is to Zooropa)

More realistic - 40 - it really is just their best closing song, and the no one would be unhappy having 40 close a U2 show (though I'm ready to see posts from people saying they would be unhappy with 40!)
