Except harder and even more stripped down?

I think they want to do the Rubin album to get chart hitting singles.

I think the beach clips from 2006 are more linked to Rubin.

God forbid U2 should ever repeat that ghastly piece of work that was the bomb.
  2. I havent heard the 2006 clips, were there any promising sounding songs?
  3. I'm just going to say, I hope U2 don't stop making music they see as interesting and challenging just because this album hasn't been as huge-selling and obvious as others. I think NLOTH does have complex and intriguing moments and it certainly isn't as 'accessible' (for want of a better word) as the last two records. I don't think it's caught on with me as much as ATYCLB but then that album is very special to me so it's probably unfair to compare it. I think this one is more of a grower, and it's nice they still want to do that rather than bang out hits for the sake of it. That's what I worry they end up wanting to do. I'd like the next album to be another step forward in the right direction.
  4. Any chance on Mercy being at the new album?

  5. Adam's bass tech confirmed to a fan tonight that U2 will indeed be recording in Vancouver.

  6. Sorry if this is a stupid question- but somehow recording the show? As in...prof-audio release? Or recording SoA once the show is over.

  7. Record the new album

Actually, this s a confirmation of old news
