    Yeah, totally. I know I'm in the minority, but I've never liked Magnificent. Part of that is my aversion to all things disco and part of that is the awful lyrics I just can't get past. Unknown Caller has some dodgy soon-to-be-obsolescent lyrics, but overall, I think it works so much better live.

    If only they'd lose that damn karaoke.

    I've started to view the Unknown Caller lyrics in a wider context - it helps me get over the whole computer-reference thing, which I wasn't sure of to start with. Someone on my LJ talked of it speaking to her of freedom ("you're free to go" etc) and that was a really interesting new take on it. And hearing it live did a world of good, as usually is the case. I really do like it as a song now.




  11. Well doesn't the song already describe an epiphany? So you don't really need a different interpretation if u want the song to be about 'freedom'
  12. Great song, still one of the best on the album for me, Love it in combination with Moment of Surrender, they should try that out live
