1. Agree with Gerard here, not a single-worthy song. Release NLOTH or Breathe.
  2. Unknown Caller would make a better 'serious' single, it's much more dynamic and the solo will go down well with the rock crowd.

They just need to chop off the intro like they do live

And if they do they will cut the solo too like they did with Magnificent. So please no.

  4. i think they would leave the solo and cut the intro and outro.

It will? What kind of rock are we talking...cock rock, shock rock, hard rock, soft rock, garage rock, classic rock...? I'll take the second, third, fifth and sixth, thanks.

More so, I'd expect it to appeal to progressive or alternative rock.

    Yeah not liking that either.

I don't see the big fuss over why it needs to be commercially successful either. If people want to hear the new U2 stuff they'll come-a-lookin' and if they like it then more power to them - at least they've made the choice to hear something well worth their time and interest. And then it could spur them on to find more U2 stuff.

Just because an album doesn't get on the radio or tops album charts or isn't MTV's video of the week (hahahaha - does MTV still play relevant and interesting music?) doesn't mean it's not any good. There are plenty of albums out there, independent and otherwise, yet they're still very good without a radio hit, video or even any kind of promotion. The amount of U2 fans there are, the album still does well enough.
  6. So has everyone heard the new remix? Apparently this dj is the one who said MoS was definitely the new single.

  7. That's just horrible, poor little beautiful song was murdered
