1. He did a good job indeed. Loved the MTV broadcast
  2. Hello all, finally some time to write after strolling in the city. Still in Berlin. The show was amazing, it was so nice to see them on a little stage, and the sound was just amazing. Some light wet snow before it started, but then at 7 Larry came on and the rest, well, guess it was history. How cool were those projections during One on the Brandenburger gate. Was a good crowd, was just overwhelming to see them in this historic place. All were in good shape. The narrator mentioned a special guest would appear, so I feared it woud be Mary J Blige, but thankfully not. Six songs, well guessed was more then we wished for, all was worth the trip. Es war fabelhaft, danke Berlin and U2.
  3. Always liked Jay-Z, and he really did do a great addition to Sunday Bloody Sunday. Maybe we will see them working together in the future.

    Eh wha?

Jay-Z with U2? What a total load of horseshit that was. Really awesome performance of SBS ruined with rap music.

Don't get me wrong; I have tried to like rap 'music' but lets be honest; it's really tough. It's so angry. Why? The guys were clothes that are too large for them, the girls clothes too small, they're all covered in tacky jewellry. I'm only making the point because the videos are more remarkable than the actual 'songs' themselves.

And maybe its just me but people only seem into the chorus where some sidelined person with an excellent voice has to make up for the manure in the rest of the record, or the background music which is usually 'borrowed' from an 80's classic or classical music.

The less I have to hear of that white noise the better. Horseshit

lol. I think the rap suits the beat of Sunday Bloody Sunday. Jay has sampled the song himself in his own concerts and its worked. U2 are too old to dabble with rap nowadays. I enjoyed the collaboration

What have you actually listened to?

  9. I hope the lines he performs end up somewhere on the next album.

  10. To quote Dylan Moran's version of a rap song:

"I got my pecs, I got limos, I got bitches, and all my limo's powered by bitch juice, and my spare pecs are in the limo." ... "I'm gonna fuck you up. I'm gonna dig up your dad, and shove him up your mum and drink your blood from a drinking cup, you fuck!"
