Hell, they could do worse and never play it at all like White As Snow.

Vertigo was cut in (February?) 2006 (MTV awards or something like this), but I certainly agree with your general point
  2. They even play Vertigo with the extended outro
  3. Ok then. Why not cutting Magnificent or Unknown Caller? If something is 7 minutes you play it for 7 minutes.

  4. They cutted Magnificent. They even cutted One.
  5. That remix is fucking terrible.

  6. I agree with you 100%.NLOTH is a very solid, fast paced song.I like the live version better, when the band stop ,and continue. They could have also released a couple of live tunes with the single.Or,God forbid,a real b side studio track ,not from the CD.MOS is a great song, but its too slow and long for radio.Cutting the song up is a terrible move. Its a great album track.
  7. The band does seem to want to shoot itself in the foot of late.

Why would anyone think MoS would make a good single? It'll put people to sleep.
Unknown Caller would have worked much better if they wanted a stadium rock single

UC would never have worked. It would erect the same reactions as with Get On Your Boots. 'Oeh, they are trying to be hip'

How so, on GOYB they do come across as tryhards.

But UC is completely different, they've done stuff like that before, it definitely sounds like a typical soaring, epic U2 song.

Plus the dynamism between the verses and the chorus is excellent. And the chorus hook is very catchy

no. people dont understand u2 anymore. or no, they dont want to understand u2 anymore. they want to be entertained the first time they hear the song. not after the 5th time.

Thats why UC is good, it is entertaining the first time around

  12. Being Born is a far more entertaining song. How is Unknown Caller more enjoyable?
