    They might just release it one day on another Unreleased Tracks disc. But no, it won't show up on a next studio album. Not in this state.

I join your ranks - the lyrics are uninspired in my mind - the sort of switch up "this is now that" "I'm this you are that" lyrical device reminds me too much of "Windows in the Sky" / "Always" ... it seems a kind of default lyrical play Bono does when he's trying to think of better lyrics to put down... I know.... I'm bad. Sorry.

    I think its overrated, certainly its not better than stuff on their older albums (it probably stands out compared to the rest of their post-2000s stuff) but I think it has potential.

    I like the extended first verse, the rest of the song is far less memorable.


    I fuckin love it, and every time i've seen the band up close someone has always been begging for them to do something with it.

    I have been reflecting a lot about u2 lately, listening to stuff I had never heard and stuff I can listen in my head as if I was with phones just from my imagination. So, I will write stuff I´ve already said and new things which I thought of.

    OBS: LOTS OF OPINION ;p

    1. I am disappointed with their management. You see golden tunes that are unrealeased or very rare such as smile, these are the hands that build america, disappearing act, wave of sorrow, mercy and the million dollar hotel soundtrack. This latter is amazing, between their greatest stuff, and I, who have their whole discography, found it this week. You also see we often get a lot of expectations and they are never met and we get disappointed.

    2. U2´s obsession for radio hits and commercial success is very bad for them. Being the biggest band in the world is not the same as being the best. Radio songs suffered a change in paradigma, in this generation, great songs are songs you can dance and have fun to. Music is not a way of expanding an ideology or speaking for people anymore as much as it was. U2 should tell everyone to fuck off like Radiohead, Pink Floyd and R.E.M did. Yes, U2 was always popular in a social way, representing the people. But this change of value in music, this want want want of U2 added up to how people hate Bono and love people who are in the papers for shaving their heads or showing their tits is causing people to hate them. The few of my classmates love U2 but think they have 2 albums only - ATYCLB and HTDAAB. U2 should make music for the art, for pushing boundaries and eventually they´ll be a consequence. U2 is trying to skip steps. You write a good song and if it is good it will turn out t be recognized, if you try too hard to make something to be recognized you limit your creativity.

    3. U2 is getting older, they should after this tour scale things down like elevation and focus on th music and the music itself. They are still a great live band, but there is a magic to them when they play smaller. If they keep trying to go big and be big it will show thy are out of fuel, they are trying t relive the past now. And they should be living anoter fase.

    4. U2 is immortal for 30 years of golden tunes, some greater than others and they can still be and still are!!!!!!!

    5. I hope that SoA is with what the band wants. In my mid it sounds somewhere in between The Million Dollar Hotel, Zooropa and African music.
