1. This is a great web site I am so excited to participate. I was a serious collector of live recordings pre Pop tour – so most is on tape. I would love any advice to converting to digital so I can share. My first show was the Red Rocks shown in Denver 1983 and I haven’t missed a tour since. I will dust off the cases and start converting as soon as I can.
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi freind

  6. Welcome welcome

Its great to hear you want to start converting some tapes you have. Unfortunately there are not many people here who can help you with the details. Some things you will need are a playing deck with a analogue stereo output than you can hook up your PC or a specialized recording device to digitalize the signal. Note that its a plus to have a good soundcard for these kind of things.

If you are talking about DAT tapes: then i havent said anything. It should be possible then to copy the data digitally to your PC and process it further there.
