Anyone know why Bono done the whole mans-cara thing during the promo?
I thought this was maybe the new look for 360 but it was never seen again.Was it dropped or what?

I think it was around the time of the Q cover feature and rereading the article Bono seems to have been thinking about developing characters like The Fly again and given his thing about how his eyes look it was probably a way of losing the shades which his old man gave him a hard time about. I think the mascara made a couple of GOYB Promo appearances but was gone by the beginning of the tour. I do wish the band experimented with their appearance again, Edge seems to have been wearing the same style hat / Tshirt since ATYCLB / Elevation and Bono always wears the specs (get your eyes done man if it bothers you).

shame, I actually quite liked it.

it was more glam and (dare I say it) cooler than the standard "shades and jacket" uniform he wears 99% of the time.

I'm glad it's gone. Couldn't stand it, he looked weird with it. Hope he won't ever put that stuff on again. I like him taking on alter personae like MacPhisto etc, but this latest experiment? no, thx

I liked it. I like eye make up on some guys. Bono has beautiful eyes. I'd rather he wore eye makeup than those glasses all the time.

it looked good on covers and promo pictures, imo, but during live performances it started melting and he looked kinda weird, so maybe he realized that and stopped

The eye make up was interesting, might have gone down better if it was attached to a better song than Boots.
