but you know, if Italy makes it to the final, then Oranje needs to let us win, because we still need to kick their butts for the 2006 semi final desaster

Italians wont make it that far i think.

  2. Yeah you are right, how much do you think Berlusconi wants to spend bribing some referee's?

  3. A lot. I remember the penalty they had against Australia in Germany 2006. The player clearly dived but the ref said it was a foul.

Its just unfair. Even a sport like tennis, where one point is a lot less valuable, uses modern technology to avoid these kind of things. We all see it, we all know it. But one little person on the field misses it and the game is played.

All stadiums have big screens nowadays. Why cant the referee look up before signing off on the goal/offside, etc.

Well it would be tough to judge an offside by a video, because the referee has very little time to decide in these situations. Using it for judging goals would be helpful, though.

Remember the Chelsea - Barcelona semi-finals? Now that was something which pointed out a videoref is a necessity.

If the lines man just watched a videofeed from above the field than he has better view and can communicate his decision by mic, like he is doing now.

I understand this is nothing for regular football games in the neighbourhood, but most games are filmed in multiple angles and streamed live all over the planet.

Still the referee's cant be blamed in most cases. Players are just to trained to deceive them and he has to keep his eye on 22 of those overpayed actors
  7. we already have a 4th official at ALLL games. Why not just give him access to a monitor. Pull up a replay, make a decision and feed that to the ref. Takes 30 seconds. The twat that dived for the penalty would still be rolling about like he got shot in the back. Easy
  8. i cant blame Henry for doing that. And he even admited he played hands after the game! yea its only a game! So no harm done. A referee is there to judge the situation. We should blame the referee. Thats why we love soccer anyway for moments like this.
  9. Best solution gerard

I can blame him, its just stealing, cheating, etc. Henry with his 'respect' commercials during the years

Easy talking when the game is over and you're in the winning team
