1. Maybe this question is better suited in this topic.....would appreciate any help!

  2. I need a little help with Itunes.

I would like to know if it's possible to ensure two specific tracks always (without exceptions) play consecutively (together and in the right order) using this program. For example, every time I listen to IGCIIDGCT live I want SBS from the same show to follow.

    Thank you!

I doubt its possible in shuffle mode. Easiest solutions is joining the files. I dont know a tool by name, but im sure those exist.

  4. Which browser are you using? Firefox has multiple plugins available for these kind of jobs

    Try Audacity.

  6. Always works, but can degrade quality a lot if you import and export mp3 files If they are from the same bootleg (aKa same bitrate/sampling freq) then it should be possible to join mp3 files without loss of quality.

They should be unless he's found a better version of either song. I've done it before but when Bono shouts out a city name and then again in the next song, it doesn't quite work...

How is the loss less evident if the files are from the same source? They would still have to be imported and exported all the same, wouldn't they?

If you import and export lossless yes. But with lossy codecs with mp3 not. It goes like this:

    > Lossless source
    > Encode to MP3 (loss of data) / Usually done by taper or uploader

    Then in Audacity you do:

    > Decode to lossless
    > Paste audio data next to each other
    > Encode to MP3 (loss of data)

So the combined file loses data twice. Undependant of bitrate.
  10. So if I use an mp3 bootleg of the same source, there will automatically be minimum quality degeneration in the transfering process?

  11. Yes, if you export at 320kbps you might not hear it though. Just telling to be aware of the fact.
If you join to flacfiles you wont loose quality. A good option is to join 2 flac files and export to mp3, then you only have loss of data only once in the chain.

Again using mp3s can be the easiest solution just be aware of the loss. So dont do things like that over and over again to the same data
  12. think i'm gonna order myself a desktop. Quadcore top of the list, and Windows 7. Hopefully 3-4gb of RAM to begin with and 500gb hard drive. Should get that for around £400 I hope
