Luckily Amazon is showing that the remastered version will have the original Peter Rowen cover.

  10. Best album cover - Under A Blood Red Sky

always loved the image of Bono kneeling down wth flag pole and mic in hand, the blood red sky backgound, brilliant, yet to think, during the concert, that actual image has a dark blue backdrop, with a helicopter buzzing around.

    Worst album cover - October

Just looks a bit cheap & nasty, never liked having the tracklsting on the front either.

Best single cover - I'll say Where the streets have no name

but i have always really liked the Joshua Tree singles covers, hae a classy look about them, with Desire & the R&H single covers not far behind..

Worst single cover - Miss Sarajevo

hands down, shocker, just has a cheap look about it, never been a fan of the cover art, and i know they aren't official U2 releases, but all of those remixed singles, New Years Dub, Tale Me To The Clouids about etc, all have very ordinary cheap ass looking cover art.
  11. Best Album Art: Achtung Baby. I love the colour and the juxtaposition of imagery.
Best Single Art: Mofo Remixes. Love love love the flying hearts.

Special mention: Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own (single) with their dads on the back cover because it's such a cute idea.

Have to say though that U2's artwork rarely does much for me and while it was hard to pick my favourites because of the lack of choice, it was harder to narrow down my least favourite because I think many of them seriously reek.

Worst single art: After an exhaustive five minutes of poking about, The Unforgettable Fire (four faces version) gets the wooden spoon. It's just fugly.

Worst album art: Probably gonna get spanked for this one but NLOTH beats out October in a close contest of blech. Sugimoto's art is lovely - as art - but great art does not a great album cover make. Boring and out of step with the album content. Zero shelf appeal. Blah.
