  3. They should do a studio remix with the live edits, ie. cutting out the terrible "sexy boots" lines .
    But it's definitely the worst lead single they've released since the October era in its current form.

    The song's problem is mostly down to execution rather than concept.
    What's interesting though, is some of my friends who usually dislike most U2 singles (and deride them for all sounding the same) seem to love Boots and think its way better than stuff like Magnificent or Crazy Tonight.

  5. That new 'boots' intro before beautiful day on the 360 tour, does anybody know what version/mix it is and if it's avaliable? or is it something they recently knocked up

    It's the one from Artificial Horizon, if I'm right.

    Love the song, still one of the favorites from the album.

  9. Added with some Soweto Gospel Choir; it's the "version" they used to promote the World Cup in RSA isn't it? On u2.com they wrote it's called "Rainbow People" mix.

    PS: Boots is in my U2 top ten fave songs list.

    I can't love this post any more. I'm not sure I'd put Boots in my Top 10 but it is definitely high up!

    I think I need someone to explain to me why the 'sexy boots' line is so awful. I hear this a lot and I kinda don't get it.
