1. Live with the solo at the end. Rather great, best versions of Bullet so far in my book.

  2. I don't think ive heard a JT tour version, any standout performances on YouTube?
I have Live in Paris 87 but I think I skip over the song, is that a good performance?

Yeah, quite allright. You also might try Lovetown. More pace and energy but the same structure. Try one of the Point Depots.

I think I have 2 or 3 Point Depot shows downloaded, will listen to all performaces of BTBS I have on my PC when I get home today.

Yea, I have a bit of a problem where I have so much music downloaded that I still haven't listened to most of it, especially my U2 bootlegs which are filed all over the place and usually 2+ hours long, making it difficult to find the time to listen to them

  5. I disagree.

WOWY was amazing in Phoenix this year. Bono is singing it in character. The newer rendition is just that; a newer rendition that is amazing once you realize what Bono's doing with it.

I like that fact that Bono has to work at hitting those notes...it makes it all seem...real.

I don't think its character. It's just half arsed. Those opening verses are consistently brutal. I'll check Phoenix out but every version I've heard this tour has been poor

Live JT version??? Eh, the Rattle and Hum DVD perhaps!

Zoo TV 'Bullet' was awesome. The soundboard copy I have from RFK Stadium is dynamite.

I agree. If it's in character, it definitely isn't in a way that is obvious to the rest of the audience. I get more the impression he's just being lazy.

Agreed, i just think hes not making the effort, if he wanted to sing WOWY perfect and amazingly he could but he just says the verses rather than sings them
  11. But it's not just in WOWY either. He's been doing it to Walk On as well, which sounds really bad. He even had a brief moment of doing it to Bad too. Does he actually want to be rapper or a singer?
  12. There is the point of course that he just cant be arsed as he is bored with them? In the case of WOWY, his lack of enthusiasm doesnt spoil it when you are there as it is a sing-a-long song in any case.

Maybe the injection of some golden oldies will get him going !
