You talking about "One"? Yeah, I could write you a tab. I actually play it slightly different than The Edge, which I'm usually never a fan of doing...same notes, just a different spot on the fretboard, on different strings. So much easier, and a much less muted tone.

And if you're talking about UTEOTW, well, I could whip one up for that just as well, I suppose.

I dunt wana push my luck so maybe just the tab for One now,
    thanks a heap .

  2. I rekon when u click on a song from the songs list, apart from getting the lyrics and the bootleg info, u sould be able to get vids of members trying the song out for themselves( on guitar, drums, etc) and we should have a link for sum tabs/ chords on there too.

  3. I PMd you Andrew. I can do one for UTEOTW later.
  4. I also have a personal tab for One, I can write here in a moment if you want to. It's on the first frets so it's useful to play in electric, acoustic or even classic guitar, and sounds great
  5. e ----------------0----0----0-------------------------------------------------0-----------0---------------------------------------
    B ----------1-------3----3----3 h 1 / 3--- 3 h 1 h 3 h 1 h 3------------------3--1--3---3--1-/3--0--0-1-0-1-3-1-0--------
    G --0h2---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------0h2--
    D -----------------------------------------------------------------------/ 3--------------------------------------------------------

On the B strings all notes (specially the quick parts between frets 1 and 3) are hammered or slided, but I didn't feel like writing it

That's a great tab for it acoustically, I'd say. I much prefer the more complex version of it if I'm going electric, as the pickups can handle all the little nicks that make the lead more interesting. Acoustically, though, a lot of that sound can get lost due to lack of sustain. Kudos!

My Boss Distortion is out of commission so I had to go through the amp...little harder to change on the fly.

Epiphone looks cool. The stark black look of it is nice.

Are there delay effects in your multi-effects unit? Both one could use some delay.

Is there a 'rotary speaker' effect setting in your multi-effects unit? It would make "One" sound more authentic.

    Thanks for posting the video.

No problem. Yeah, there's plenty I can do with messing around with delay (except for dual programming, so "Streets" is tricky to get perfect)...I just didn't think it was entirely necessary for either song. I've got some form of rotary settings I can personally toy with as well...let me experiment over the weekend and I'll get back to you.

What I should do is make a video including the presets I've programmed for various U2 songs..."Crazy Tonight", "No Line (Live)", "Vertigo", "Elevation", "Even Better Than the Real Thing", etc. The unit isn't exactly top of the line, but if you program your own custom settings the right way, it can duplicate some pretty authentic sounding stuff.

    What unit is it?

  10. Digitech RP-200...it came programmed with 150 presets, but the first 40 slots are programmable, based on about 12 criteria such as amp model, delay, compressor, effect, pedal expression, and EQ. Pretty cool unit, but also fairly cheap. I was initially unimpressed with the sound quality of some of the sounds, but I've gotten used to manuevering through the knobs to find the sweet spots.
  11. Something that i've been wondering about the Edge's delays.
Does he always use two simulatenous delays these days, or was it mainly the Joshua Tree that featured two delays of different length and repeats.

    Check this website out http://www.amnesta.net/edge_delay/

I use it all the time- there's a chart on there somewhere mapping out all of the delay settings- down to the ms- he uses for (most) of U2's songs using delay. It also distinguishes between songs with 1 delay setting vs. 2 delay settings.
