That's more than a good start. I find a lot of indie and little bands put on some nice shows too. Nothing spectacular but it's a nice night out.

    Red Hot Chili Peppers
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals
    Rush

    U2
    a-ha
    The Cribs
    Los Campesinos!

...Glastonbury this year, too, so add another U2 to that list and a whole lot more!

  7. How are the Cribs? i'm seeing them come Wednesday.
  8. they're really energetic and enthusiastic, you'll definately enjoy them.

the only thing with the show I went to is that Ryan stopped the show temporarily 2 songs in to have a rant at the crowd for being unhospitable to the opening act. the show was pretty awkward from then on and the atmosphere never really recovered.

NME even published an article on it:

    http://www.nme.com/news/the-cribs/48782
  9. Are they really big over in the UK? I just heard the song Cheat on Me on the radio, loved it and listened to them more and found they were coming to Chicago. The hall I'm seeing them in fits about 500 people- not sure how many will be there. Tix aren't sold out.

I've seen more underground/local bands than I can count, but none that have like, official albums or that have been "discovered".
