1. hi guys

does anybody know what are u2s 20 biggest singles?
by this i mean highest positions in the UK chart
    thanks
  2. Desire
    The Fly
    Discotheque
    Beautiful Day
    Vertigo
    Sometimes You Can't Make It

All went to number 1 in the uk

  3. thanks Gerard, this is a good start

  4. I think we can add
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    With Or Without You
Where The Streets Have No Name
    One
    All I Want Is You
    The Saints Are Coming
    Mysterious Ways
    Angel Of Harlem
    New Year's Day
    Elevation
Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
    Sweetest Thing
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    Pride

Maybe City Of Blinding Lights, The Unforgettable Fire, Walk On, Window In The Skies are in this list instead of others...
  5. TUF and AIWIY are clearly not in the Top 20, I think.
  6. With Or Without You and I Still Haven't Found... are the only two U2 singles to go number 1 in the States. I think Where the Streets... made it to #3 - or at least it was in the top 10.

  7. I wouldnt know for sure, but All I Want Is You is among the most popular (for some reason everyone, truly everyone, knows the lyrics to the first verse) and TUF is played occasionally on the radio still...heard it twice last week at least...
  8. Wow, I wish we had such cool radio stations

  9. Haha, unfortunately that was really the only cool stuff I heard on there
    But hey, it's TUF

  12. Id hazard a guess that Desire sold the most on the basis that it was tougher to get number 1 in those days.

Moreover, The Fly was released with a limited number of copies - still enough to knock Bryan Adams off No. 1
