1. I'm sure this has been posted before, but I'm in the middle of an essay so don't have time to search it but will U2 add another Giants Stadium show to the summer tour? Right now its the last one in the US and I missed them the first time around and am going to buy tix for the first night but would love to get a second show in. And if you think they will add a show when do you think it would be announced or sales open? Thanks for any and all help!
  2. It will take place on the New Meadowsland Stadium, not in the Giants'

Anyway, a second show is not likely to happen, otherwise it would have been announced already...
  3. I've changed the topic's title, if you don't mind

You would think U2 would play a second night.Problem is,the first night is not sold out.As a matter of fact, only a couple of shows from the U.S. tour are sold out so far.Maybe its because the shows are so far off??.Maybe its because the shows are on sale a few weeks before Christmas??..or maybe its because U2 charge $250 for reserved seats (first 10 rows) in sections 100 AND 200??!! I guess U2 didnt hear that their is a recession in America.People are losing their jobs. The economy is bad here. The Rolling Stones dont even charge that for reserved seating in the 200 sections. If U2 lowered the ticket prices, all their shows would be sold out already.I love this band, but I dont get why they have to charge such outrageous prices for reserved seating.

We are all in recession mate. Times are tough all over and its not just the US that are paying huge prices. A high percentage of 2010 European shows have sold out so dropping prices now would be both illogical and unfair.

I think the issue here is that saturation level may well have been reached in certain places. Taking NY as an example, around 240,000 tix have been shifted for the 360 Tour already - that is mega!

Ticket sales may be relatively stagnate until the new album comes out as its unlikely that non 'die hard' fans will pay to see the same show twice - no matter the venue.

I understand what you are saying.But,U2 have 15 shows on sale for next years N.American tour, including Canada. And so far only 4 are sold out. That is a bit shocking.Anaheim and Montreal have second nights, because the first night sold out.Im sure U2 would play a second night here,if the first night sold out .Night one sold out fast back in March for the Sept 23 show from this year.I know all of the globe is hurting and is in a recession.Im just saying ,U2 could have taking that into consideration for the 2009 AND 2010 prices.I feel like Im the only one outraged by their price for reserved seating.I would have loved to have purchased seats in section 101,row 2 for Philly. But not for $250 a pop.I settled for row 16..same section for $95 each......Peace.
