  1. Seeing that people love to complain, just drop by here and bitch about what music bothers you with any sort of music. We have a bunch of bitching topics, and a lot of people end up ranting in the regular topics. So I thought, hey, maybe we can be more organized and have it in one topic. That way people don't go off topic on other topics.

    And yes there is General Chat, but we aren't fond of the bitchiness.

  2. I will start it off. The population of our fine site is slowly changing. I am not posting as often as I used to because of it. It has grown to the point where Steve has to create a topic reserved only for their stupid... ness.

    An example can be found in the "How to appreciate Pop" topic. The first, deep post for a while in that topic was written by myself. Here it is:

    SHUT UP. Is this REALLY what this forum has become? A bunch of f***ing whiners because U2 don't get nominated for an award? WHO CARES. You can defend the band and argue that their album should have been nominated, but trash other artists? I'm also on another music forum, and they don't act anything like this. There are no petty and witless comments there. There are no need for topics like this.

    But this site needs it, even though we shouldn't. And closing this won't help either. That's just ignoring the real problem. I remember when I used to ENJOY going to this site. Now it's a forum wasteland.

    Hey, I don't think my bitching deserves to be bitched about.

    IMO it was very valid bitching, I wasn't complaining that U2 didnt get nominated, that's ok.

    But nominating an 'artist' whose music is utterly predictable pop and basically manufactured for tween girls for album of the YEAR! is a bit ridiculous don't you think? And this isn't the MTV music awards either

    Who are we going to see next year? Miley Cyrus?

    I never said it was your bitching specifically, it was an overall statement that was being made by a collective few on another topic. Don't judge so quickly, even if this is the bitching topic.

    Not really, if people enjoy it, on a mass scale, then it DEFINITELY deserves nomination. Not just tween girls listen to Taylor Swift you know.

    And if Miley Cyrus worked hard enough, I'm sure we could.

    I'll take blame in bitching about things (yes I have more than enough) but I'd like to try and stop myself from overdoing it. Seeing a topic like this sort of knocks the fact into you that even though everything isn't perfect - I'll admit that too - it'd be nice to stop being a bitch and cynic about everything and start actually focusing on the positives.

    Just depends which category you fall into.

    And really you can't complain this much, I mean you have been over to interference right?
    If U2start is a forum wasteland interference is a forum wasteland after a nuclear apocalypse hit, with bandits and mutants roaming around. I bet even Johnny Cash is wandering around there somewhere trying to find 'one good man'.......

  12. So what's the reason for this? To have only positivity on the forums and to keep the doubters and critics locked in one topic? U2 fall short quite a lot for me in some areas. Should I not share this?
