1. Love these guys, although they don't play Wake Me Up When September Ends anymore..unless they changed their set!
  2. yeah green day owns u2 setlist-wise

  3. They played it in Rotterdam, although acoustic solo performance by Billy Joe
  4. In 2006/2007/2008 I was a huge Green Day fan, but now I don't like the new album.
  5. well, i see what everyine means aout the setlist... but GD can do that U2 can´t. It´s the same thing that people say about U2 and PJ. U2 plays bigger places and has a longer story so they have way more casual fans at their shows, mainly since ATYCLB. so, it´s hard for them.

About GD selling out like many people say, I disagree. They are older and they are more mature. Like someone said they evolve. It´s the same with U2, compare Joshua Tree with Boy. Boy is full of energy, electric, while JT is deeper.

Now, I know is offtopic. But if this (Full house - GD) thing is plagiarism, what is MOS? the rythm of the verses in Pink Floyd´s Lost for words is the same as the chorus in MOS and I thought it was kinda, not too much... but if you´re saying the solo od 21 guns is plagiarism, then U2 is guilty....

  6. They are awesome!
Couldn't get tickets for their concert in Rotterdam, but I had to work that night so still got to see the show! (I work at Ahoy)
It was freaking awesome, they are very good live!
  7. might be goin to see em @ brisbane 8th december
  8. I liked the last few albums but I just didn't get into this new one. I'm sure it is good but I just couldn't get into it.

I know everyones prob sick of comparisons to greenday and pj concerning sets but seriously, look at this set!!! Granted this isn't done everynight but I think u2 should pull something like this out wen they are visiting places they never were before, any show in Ireland or a NY show. This is the equivalent of u2 opening up with entire NLOTH album, then playing an album that's considered classic in it's entirety ( AB , JT, TUF depending on who u talk to lol), then playing at least one or two songs from every other album with some covers thrown in ( everlasting love etc..) Can u imagine?

  10. Hooooooooooly shit.

I personally don't like when artists only play one whole album live. Part of the fun at a live show is making the greatest setlist imaginable by intertwining these songs with old songs in ways that are different than you can hear on an album.

Springsteen's choice was okay, playing "Born to Run" followed by a real "set"....Green Day's AI tour did the same, if I'm not mistaken, in certain locations. But TWO full albums? C'mon. That's almost self indulgent.
  11. you do know that setlist is fake right???
