Since its debut, Pride has been a constant on every show of U2. Since 1984 it has been the more played song (747 times), even more than I Will Follow (though IWF debuted 4 years later, so it remains as the more played song). Pride automatically became a peace anthem, and it has been widely covered by other artists, and it's been played in many events.
