1. Hello everybody,I would like to let you know about an important thing:
The tribute concert for Michael was set to go on next June, before the one-year anniversary of Michael’s death, but the company disbanded because it has lost the financial support, and now it is unsure if the show will still go on.
We are disappointed and really, really sad for this. For other great dead artists tributes and commemorations were organised, and were a real success. Why not for Michael, who was one of the most appreciated artists in the world?
Here's a petition for the concert, please sign it!!!It's very important!!

And here's the blog about the petition: thetributeconcertformichaeljackson.blogspot.com

    Thank You very much!!!
  2. Just my opinion, but one year is a little soon for a full-out tribute. Seems like everything surrounding MJ gets rushed since his death...
  3. This is U2start.com.
  4. Yes,but for example the tribute concert for Freddie Mercury was approximately 10 months afther his death...
  5. Of course, unfortunately for most people it will be only for money...but for the fans it would be a wonderful opportunity to remember him with true love!
  6. Well, who is gonna be performing and where is it gonna be? Hopefully not in Vienna.

Have you actually checked out the MJ fan boards to get an indication of what people think?
  7. I understand why people would want to see it...but also, we all know that even if the best people around get to play there, they won't be even half as good as Michael.

If it does go ahead as well, I want to hear more cover versions of songs rather than the predictables. It seems people only remember Thriller and a couple of songs off Bad. His best work came in the 90s and 00s and I want to have covers of those: Speechless, Butterflies, Unbreakable, 2 Bad, HIStory, Keep The Faith, Superfly Sister...all those.

It also needs to have those who are still alive who he related to doing tributes. Not the rubbish like Akon and Chris Brown. Usher should be there. Don't make it like the last tribute show where the tributes were terrible and the only reason MJ thought it was good was because he was absolutely stuffed.
  9. What's the big deal - plenty of child molesters out there who can carry a tune. Gary Glitter anyone?
