1. Hi,

As we know, all members of U2 have done some work outside U2, think of all the duets Bono did (Corrs, Clannad, Sinead O'Connor, etc.) and Edge's work outside U2 and Larry's and Adams work for Mission Impossible.
What do you consider the best "outside U2-trip" of them all?

To me it would be Clannad - In A Lifetime.
  2. Yep, Clannad for Bono. And maybe Mission Impossible for Larry/Adam...as for Edge, I'm not really sure
  3. The 46664 concert. Long walk to Freedom, American Prayer and Amandla are of incredible greatness.

    Alex
  4. And what about Passengers? It is outside project too
  5. When that's your favorite then that's okay!
  6. I thought you meant separate projects like Captive. If that's not the case I nominate Passengers as my second-favourite work of the 90s behind Zooropa.
  7. I meant all projects that don't have the name/trademark "U2" on it, regardless of how many band members participate at once inside such a project. Passengers can be considered as an outside U2-project: all members participate, but not as a U2-entity, so to speak.

I've always loved OST and thought it should have been something they continued with.

Being Born is like a rebirth of the project, if only for five minutes.
  9. Passengers was a massive outside U2-project by all of them lol..I vote for that one.
  10. Bono's version of That's life for The Good Thief OST. Passion!

Also I love the songs the four of them recorded for Roobie Robertson. I know i'ts the whole band, but I can' believe the way Larry and Adam go funky in Testimony.
  11. "Snakecharmer" has The Edge on it and is rather lovely. See if you can find it and marvel at the world's best bass player, Jah Wobble. Very Eighties, but nothing wrong with that.
  12. Heroine (Edge with Sinead O' Connor) from the Captive soundtrack is good.
