  7. Going on with the Birthdays, today is the 23 annyversary of the concert in Christchurch (New Zealand), which was not a great concert at all, even the available recording is pretty bad. But it featured one VERY special thing...

    It was the debut of PRIDE!! Since its debut, Pride has been a constant on every show of U2. Since 1984 it has been the more played song (747 times), even more than I Will Follow (though IWF debuted 4 years later, so it remains as the more played song). Pride automatically became a peace anthem, and it has been widely covered by other artists, and it's been played in many events.

    I've posted a few "Very important" anniversaries all along the year. Stockholm 1992-06-11, Madrid 1987-07-15, London 1987-06-12, and a few others. It's great to remember old concerts, and for the new people is very useful.

    Madrid and Stockholm are worthy but I don't think London is special. Its just a soundboard

    It was one of the best shows on the Europe leg, everyone recognized it up there in 1987, even before the SBD surfaced. Many people from other countries attended this show (a friend of mine did).

    Doesn't do it for me. Many other 2nd Leg shows i'd choose before the Wembley show. (thats not to say they arent great though)
