HMTMKMKM would be so good with the jacket and steering wheel and whatnot

Switch "In a Little While" and "Elevation" with each other, and that would be another ideal setlist for me. Still really like the choice though.
  2. i would love to hear MOFO, Desire, FEZ-BB, SUC and electric version of Winter. I dont really care about TUF, Walk On, MLK, COBL. I would love to hear a different opener too. Breath doesnt really work for me, its way too long. I really like the set they have been playin over the last few shows. Great tour so far.

  4. At the end of the day, I think that 'One' will always be there, so any messing with that only means "where do we play it?"

Personally, having listened to many many bootlegs, and the best have always closed with '40'. It's fair to say that the 'Boy' and 'October' tours were a little less structured in their over-all feel...and with only 2 albums to choose from, that's understandable, but with 'War' , "40" became an obvious stand-out as a closeer. And 'Love Is Blindeness', 'One', 'Walk On' and 'Moment...' (ZooTV, PopMart, Elevation, and 360) just don't have the same feel for me. And for Vertigo when the would end w/ AIWIY, and Bad occasionally too, they just didn't feel like endings. Like there's more you know? It feels like you just need to turn over to side 2.

As a U2 fan (circa 1997....) I never thought I would hear 'Out Of Control'

May 25, 2001 Toronto changed that

    Ditto for Gloria

April 28, 2005 Vancouver changed that

Party Girl would have been fun

And it was, June 25, 2005

But the be all, end all song for me is 'Bad'

I would pay full price for a ticket if all they did was come out, play 'Bad' say goodnight and I went home.
    Really

Mostly, from a U2 concert, I look for a feel, an experience, a flow....
and to be honest, I don't think 360 has that.....await scathing responses.....

TUF and Ultra Violet made a comback which tells me two things

    1) Anything is possible at a U2 concert
    and
    2) I think that U2 are active viewers, if not participants, in the online "U2 World"....

I believe they read some threads, see some online chat and listen to it

They are four men who know where their paycheque comes from.

The die-hards for years have been wanting TUF back

    They delievered

The die-hards have wanted Ultra Violet back.....this website has voted it the 2nd favourite U2 song of all time.

    They delievered

I respect their artistic integrity and wanting to play whatever they want and the new stuff they are excited about.

Get On Your Boots, I think is the weakest song on the album and a terrible lead single. 'Crazy' and 'Stand Up Comedy' I think should have been the lead off singles (why hasn't Comedy made an appearance!?!?!?) but they were excited about Boots, so there you go.

    But I digress, here's my dream-set list

    Agree with you!
So for that matter: People don't leave out BAD in your setlists, and bring MOFO, HMTMKMKM and DISCOTHEQUE on there!!!!

But then really I don't care too much about the setlist if they keep BAD...moreover I think it's possible that they present us a brandnew setlist, meaning with quite some changes in the "standard songs" from the older albums. I'm sure they'll keep One, Beautiful Day, Vertigo and Streets for sure tho. But for all the other Greatest Hits songs we experienced that they don't hesitate to throw them out.

The fact that Edge said they can't come back with the same show after everyone saw it live on YouTube keeps me hopeful over this.
  10. ^ he said that? NOW I'm excited.
  11. If what Edge said is true, and skeptical that they release a new EP before June, here's what I'd like to hear (trying to be realistic)

    0. FEZ (Intro PA)
    1. Magnificent
    2. NLOTH
    3. Alternate Early Song (I Will Follow or Electric Co.)
    4. Vertigo
    5. Beautiful Day
    6. Still Haven't Found
    7. When Love Comes to Town
    8. Alternate Mid 90's acoustic (Stay, Please, or Staring at the Sun)
    9. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    10. Until the End of the World
    11. New Years Day
    12. October
    13. City of Blinding Lights
    14. Bad - (Alternating All I Want is You and 40)
    14. One
    15. Pride
    16. Streets

    17. Breathe
    18. Alternate between EBTRT or Fly
    19. Alternate between Running to Stand Still or Desire

    20. Boots
    21. Moment of Surrender
    22. Out of Control
    23. Walk On
