1. I don't really mind because i personally love the Synthesizer/Violin/ thing in Ultraviolet in the first couple verses.

  2. But their music has evolved with the technology presented to the studio these days, and in a way, those tracks are just as essential to the songs as the ones played specifically by the band. Music is revolutionizing around the computer, for the better or the worse, and without those backing tracks, you wouldn't be making those songs "more true"- you'd be chasing them further away from it.

They never use backing tracks/loops/"untrue" things for I Will Follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride, etc...the songs that never had those electronic spiffs in the first place. But in songs like UV, most things off the new album, etc....those are parts of the song. They ARE keepin' it real.
  3. Hi, I have an opinion that´s somewhere in the middle...

I know they r very capable and they composed it and they r u2 because of what they´ve done

I once read they were against backing tracks but were encouraged by eno and lenois to do it, and have relied on it since then

I am fine with it, I like the way it is... and I think that sometimes it is necessary sometimes it´s just a little thing thats unnecessary... example: until the end of the world with that intro, unkniwn caller with the birds and the synth, bad... the things r necessary.. as for bd´s intro and backing vocals, stuck in a moment synth, elevation weird flute, breathe piano, nloth synth, even magnificent intro that can be done with edge looping, they could drop...

now, as for terry, it´s tough! I mean, he should be on stage, but he only plays in some songs you know? it´s tough!

and bono, he doesnt suck at guitar... if u look, he does some nice stuff on gone and walk on from elevation (he even plays the main riff for walk on in elevation from boston), has a nice role in popmart during staring at the sun and last night on earth, nice contributions to the fly, running to stand still and to crumbs during vertigo, stay in zootv... but i think he doesnt like it, keeps him away from the crowd.... but he sure could work on it and in some songs leave edge free t work on weird noise and jeyboards...

also,i dont see why they cant rearrange tracksfor live performances.... make it different, unexpected and intriguing?

so i am half and half lol

  4. I was amazed that he was playing those chords at the end of WOWY and not the Edge when I watched the Rattle & Hum performance.

So how bad is he at guitar really? Is he better at piano? He played Sweetest Thing alright.
  5. They should just do the whole thing mostly raw, with these exceptions:

    * Sequencer on Bad and The Unforgettable Fire.
    * Intro of Until The End Of The World
    * Taped Keyboards on Ultra Violet (Light My Way)

And the birds from Fez on Unknown Caller.
  7. ^lmfao

  8. Lol. Im not kidding though, they could be released at the climax of the song while bono holds microphone to the cage.
