1. Just watched the Sydney dvd again after a while. I'll never get over the whole encore. Talk about an emotional ending to a show.

But there is one particular thing which is the definition of awesome in my book : Bono walking to the stage, the lights going out, and...

    DAAAAAADDY'S GONNAAAAA PAAAAAAAAAY YEAH !

Sure, it's not the same kind of goosebumps Mother of the Disappeared could bring. But the way it all builds up to that scream, and that funky dance afterwards, it's so cool it's almost shocking. Greatest entrance in the history of the universe. I'm now actually thinking of doing the dance everytime I enter a room.

  2. cant believe i forgot that.
  3. When I saw them in September and heared "Space Oddity" over the speakers, whicj lead to "Kingdom Of Your Love", and then into the beginning of "Breathe" I was so pumped. Also during "Where The Streets Have No Name" I thought I might shed a tear.

On the PopMart DVD The snippet of "Never Tear Us Apart" during "All I Want Is You" is amazing. "Pride" really gets to me on that one too for some reason.

Saw em in Chicago, and had a view from the middle deck, on the side of the stage, where I could actually see them walking out from backstage, and my brain actually short-circuited a little when The Edge walked out. Literally grabbed my friend by the shoulders and just incessantly shook him, shouting, "ITS THE EDGE! ITS THE F*CKING EDGE! THE F*CKING EDGE! ITS HIM! THE EDGE! THE EDGE! ITS THE F*CCCCCCCKIN EEDDDDDDGE!"

And then had to stop to catch my breath. I think I actually scared the goosebumps AWAY from myself when that happened, so technically I think both of our moments qualify.

    * WOWY outro live - great singalong
    * Electric Co. live
    * 11 O' Clock Tick Tock live - 'clock' guitar part
    * One at Brit Awards 2001
    * Pop Muzik into during PopmMart when Edge appears on camera
    * Bono shouting 'Let them hear it over at Celtic Park' during ISHFWILF at Hampden Park back in August!

Many more to choose from but im too busy to list them!!!!

  7. Irving Plaza when Bono's introducing the whole band before Desire. And referring to The Edge he says ''dunno what to say about this man'', which prompts the crowd to start chanting ''EDGE EDGE EDGE EDGE EDGE!!!''

  9. the Irving Plaza show delivers several of such moments. I especially think of when during "I Will Follow", Bono sings "your eyes.. .make a circle... I see you when I go in here... oooh oooh yeah...oh ooh yeah" etc -- that always gives me the shivers, in the best way

also, of course, the intro to Streets from Slane Castle with Bono singing that one long note and then the song starts off...wow

and from more recent times, the beginning of Magnificent, at each of the 8 shows I've been (including the Berlin Nov5 mini gig) it blows me away when Edge gets that gigantic sound off his guitar I feel like fainting every time again.
  10. One Tree Hill from Point Depot 1989-12-26

    Good Lord.

It really is a gem of a gig. Got it on DVD for like £7, great version of Bad on there too.
