1. I saw that...looks good indeed, but I'm not sure about it. MS usually finds a way to fuck things up. So far they are not allowing the phone companies to edit the UI. I would really prefer it if HTC had their hands open on editing the UI, cause they do a good job. But maybe I'm wrong, and the UI is so good it's better not to mess with it!
Will have to wait and see, but I won't be getting one for at least a few months after it's out, just to see the reviews.
Actually, they are releasing it so late, I think there will be newer Android and iPhone OSes by that time, Apple is probably working their asses off to beat them before the holidays..

Me too, I agree with you. And my Nokia still has a year contract running so I have plenty of time to look for new candidates in the future.

  3. YES, the interface looks incredibly fresh and elegant - love the whole ultra-minimalism thing. (And i'm a diehard iPhone user). The UI certainly doesn't need to be messed around with, absolutely stunning

And it looks even better in motion

MS really has a good chance to go toe to toe with Apple as they already are the major player in the PC market which they can leverage by integrating their phone with Windows, Office, Xbox etc.

It'll be really cool to see a phone that talks to my PC and does all kinds of interesting stuff, my iPhone certainly doesnt.

  4. I was tempted to the point of no return. I'll be taking delivery of one very soon. I don't mind a bigger device, in fact I've always wanted a bigger screen. My LG Renoir has a 3 inch touch screen which looked massive when I first had it (70% of that wa sprobably down to the excitement of having such a nice phone). But it later turned out that it was a bit too small for internet browsing and the such.

Looking forward to it, will miss the Renoir though. F**kicng brilliant video camera on it.

3.7 inch would be my limit. The HD2 id probable thee nicest piece of hardware on the market currently. Just gorgeous. Too big for phone and too small for tablet though I reckon. Windows 7 update will be nice

Would you be interested in the HD Mini?

It's thicker tho, one of the beauties of the HD2 is that it's not thick.

  7. Nope. It's a Windows Mobile thing.
  8. unusual. Changing the product code on the 5800 has unlocked it. Hmmm thats new

  9. That is good news Changing the product code also deleted all the branded crap apps on the phone? Or did you need to change the product code to install the generic firmware?
  10. Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted in here... but I have a question.

If I wanted to transfer certain files (music, pictures, a few documents) onto an external HD from a computer with a virus, would the virus affect a computer that the said files are transferred onto from the external? If I confused anyone, it would be "infected computer --> external --> new computer." Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  11. Depends on the virus. Make sure you have a virus scanner installed on the 'other' computer. Be careful with copying program files, documents and music should be relatively save to copy. But again use a virus scanner!
  12. Also depends on where the virus got in to. If it hit the Windows folder or Program Files, then it shouldn't be too much worry if you're not copying from there.

Rarely would a virus infect MP3s or video files.
