  1. Does anybody know in the Stay video how the shots of Bono on top of the statue in Berlin were filmed? Does anyone know if he was actually up there? Please settle an argument for my best mate and me!

    I remember reading somewhere that they built a replica of the angel and shot it that way, he wasn't actually on top of the monument. Then again, it IS the B man, anything is possible

    Lol, it obviously is just a prop he's sitting on, you can't see the Berlin skyline in the close up shots of him on the Statue of Victoria.

    It would have been just a bit dangerous to have him singing on top of a 70 m high column don't you think?

    I really don't think that the people and mayor of Berlin would appreciate Bono sitting on top of that thing. Even if he's Bono, but this would cross a line. And rightfully so.

  8. Very true! I always liked the part at the end where Bono smashes onto the pavement during the last sentence: "When an angel hits the ground". BAM !!!
    It looks to me like he is thrown out of a saloon in some B-western...so cool.
  9. For the actual movie of Wim Wenders there was really someone standing on the statue
    It's in the extras that come with the movie, it's really nice, he tells how the movie was shot and he explained how they needed to close the whole Grosser Sterne square for a day, which didn't make him popular

  12. Obviously not. And the digital effect is pretty unrealistic in my opinion
