  2. mmm tricky .. for wembley actually it seems godfather rec took the bootleg that is well known among those who downlkoad the torrents or even the mp3 ... and it sucks in a way .... its very parasite like ...
    making a cover is piece of cake ... then they might have the recording mastered, which costs lets say 200 - 400 euro max to make 500 cd's might cost 900 or so .... so in total a max of 1500 euro for 500 cd's mmmmm they make tooo much profit !

    i would rather see the original tapers make a cd -- sell it for 5 euro on the net --- and buy even better recording equipment ... same with video;s ---- i guess it takes organising, actually producing the dvd or cd is or can be quite a project ....

    I make vinyl records myself ... including full colour sleeves for some releases ...
    cost price is around 4 euro for 180 grams pressing ....
    I have though about pressing a bootleg, with the I'll go crazy dance mix on vinyl .... there are some proper energetic versions .... and they are fun to play with on the turntables ... no way it would be to make a profit ... but then again ... pressing the tracks that are not mine on vinyl ... is a bridge too far !
    and things have changed dramatically in that part as we can now mix with final scratch or traktor and use the audiofiles or mp3s .... i am still reluctant to do so .... but no doubt, one day I will

    You can buy if at marktplaats, Its a dutch ebay. Just go to Invalid url 'http://www DOT' marktplaats DOT nl and search for "U2 - wembley station". You will find the exact bootleg you showed on that picture for only 17,50 euro. You can contact the seller through the link that says 'email deze adverteerder', see image below.   4. ok guys i bought a godfather bootleg a few months ago from a small shop in chicago. I had to actualy stop, and concider what I was doing, because I know .. I'm addicted to U2. The CD wasn't cheap.though it was so high in quality I'm led to believe it has to be U2 or one of the crew behind it. I mean the pictures are all close to the stage and clear, the sound is top end.,,, and I must say, even if U2 are NOT behind something like godfather records. If I were Bono , Edge , or Paul Mcguiness I'd probably keep in mind , well if we're not making a profit in guy's like this... at the very least...people are listening to us rather than someone else and that is an enormous thing in itself. ! I mean sure U2 are the artists but you take a guy like me, I've been to about twenty shows and I just spent eight hundred dollars on 3 360 Chicago tickets. you think I'm not gonna bootleg? I spent fifty dollars joining the U2 fanclub (after I bought the tickets) just to gain access and grab the Artificial Horizon Cd (which I Love). I guess my point is .. I've have'nt yet sold a bootleg but I proably could.. I'm just content singing with Bono while doing the dishes.........heh........and lovin it !
  5. and I got about two hundred bootlegs on cd, I could try an profit from it, but I believe in sites like this. sharing is a beautiful thing. thank you Remy and everybody involved with U2 START.com Godfather Records thank U2......heh.

    You can still sing with Bono going the dishes FOR FREE.....
  7. Ive only ever encountered Godfather audios at record fayres. I got the Sheffield show and the packaging was absolutely top drawer.
  10. i´m new here, love U2 as well. but mostly a Bruce fan.

    hey, i´m a bruce springsteen fan, but also U2,
    have been to the only 2 tours they played here in brasil.
    got tix for 2 of the 3 2011 shows here in Sao Paulo.

    once you have an illegal recording of a U2 show - not authorized by them - and with the modern technology ... dones´t matter if you´re a fan trading or someone making a nice package and selling ...

    it´s not U2 authorized either way.
    if you don´t tape it and put it in the web Godfather can´t make and sell them.
    i know one is making $ and the other not, but it´s how it works with technology now.
    you only buy if you want, nobody is forcing you ...

    i have around 40 Bruce titles by Crustal Cat and some of them are waaaaay better than Bruce´s offical live releases ...

  11. Crystal Cat use their own tapers at least - that's the difference. But I agree that Demand determines supply. So buyers are part of the "problem".
  12. I am looking for a silver pressed cd of the Sheffield 2009 gig called "The 360 broadcast" by Godfather records. Anyone? I want to have it as a souvenir of the tour. Please send me a Private Message if you got an original and want to sell it.
