1. and discrimination of gays. actually, that's what this is all about

  2. Intresting thing I've noticed. People in the military in non-combat jobs tend to be for lifting the ban, while ones in combat jobs, tend to be against lifting it.

Personally, as someone planning on joining the military, I could care less about the sexual prefrences of the man next to me, as long as he can shoot straight, and do basic first-aid when the shit hits the fan. He comes onto me, he's getting a fist in the face though.

That being said, I dont know about you country, but in the U.S. most military personal tend to come from conservative backgrounds.

I ever tell you guys I had a gay stalker in high school?

nope, had a bad experience with it?

I think we are way more liberal here (not only from military perspective) and I see that as a good thing, although things like the gay pride/eurovision disgust me and are not representative for the gay community.

That being said, it was a very bad experience, that culminated in me kicking him down a flight of stairs.
  5. Hooray, the President decided not to sign the stupid law about patriotism. I wonder if that old senile douche made his own decision or the Prime Minister told him to do so.
