  1. I have been reading about rumors that the achtung baby album will get the remaster treatment and will be seeing a release in about a year or so. I wanted to know, is there any news if they are going to also do a remastered version of "achtung baby: the video, cameous, and whole lot of interference from zoo tv"?

    if they did, it would be awesome if they included, as bonus features, never before seen live performance of select songs, like say mysterious ways from tacoma, washington, considering that they included part of this performance in the video anyways.

    is there any way that we can start a petition for this? What other bonus features would you like if they released achtung baby on dvd or blu ray?
  2. They should include a full Zoo TV: Outside Broadcast concert.
  3. The only chance would be Washington 08-16, and we all know/have that. It's the same as Dortmund 1984-11-22 when the remaster of TUF. Awful release.
    I'd prefer they release the remastered Cameos

    Because we don't know/have that one?

    There's many more shows to choose from than just DC. That one would be cool, though. Fun show.

    Because virtually every fan with access to the internet has partyl/fully seen (if not downloaded/traded) the DC show, while the Cameos are not that known, and are only available (and hard finding) in VHS. The DC show is readily available in a good-quality DVD, while the Cameos are not. I haven't seen a single download link to a full 4'7 DVD containing the Cameos, only the old AVI rip posted by Spiral years ago...

    You were looking at the wrong places then. Apart from that, most of the content is widely available on official DVDs. So I'd bet most "fans" have these videos.
  7. I love the DC show with a great sound mix. Would prefer Yankee stadium for the visuals though.
  8. Its a toughie as the period is arguably covered by Zoo TV Sydney.

    The inclusion of the Achtung Baby 'video' would be good - I wore my VHS out back in the day watching that!!


  9. I agree with you there. That was such a good show, especially for Desire. The famous "I have a vision, TELEVISION" conversation on stage was there.

    I would rather have both Cameos and a Outside Broadcast show on Achtung Baby remastered.

    What do you want them to remaster? The videos? The album?

    In any case, don't start another of these idiotic petitions please.
  12. actually, i just had an idea.

    you see, my whole thing with remastering the achtung baby video was because I was hoping they would include the whole live performance of mysterious ways that they partially included in the video as a bonus live track, among other live tracks offcourse.

    but, they should do something different:

    they should put together a whole concert's worth of songs, only that each song performance is from a different venue. in other words, they make like a "zoo tv of live performances"...where they put together never before seen live performances of each song, and they should put "interference" to mark the transition between the songs.

    offcourse, as i just stated, my personal choice for mysterious ways would be his performance from April 20, 1992 at tacoma, wash.,

    So really, it's like they are releasing another zoo tv concert, but as the achtung baby video..

    any other thoughts or ideas of how to "remake" or remaster achtung baby?
