There seems to be a lot of bemoaning on this page when there really shouldn't be. U2 play to a huge audience, all of whom have payed decent money (or payed the 30 squids to get a crap seat ).

The last tour had a beautiful balance between new songs, classics, more recent songs that everybody likes (CoBL, Vertigo + ATYCLB songs) as well as a few songs that haven't been played in nearly two decades/ songs they've never played before.

You might not agree with the song choice but the balance was good and as a result pretty much everyone went out the door with a smile on their face.

I don't know if they read these pages but that's one thing that the guys should take away with them from the last two legs.

Second thing you've got to ask yourself; do you really want more rotation? The performances on this tour have been marked as superior to the Vertigo tour, probably because the band are more used to the songs.

Would you then swap level of performance for a greater variety of songs, keeping in mind that most people here seem to be only going to 1-2 gigs, if any at all

The 3rd and 4th legs will result in me attending 10 shows on this tour - too right I want rotation.
  2. Bad needs to be skipped. Not one good performance last year

  3. Maybe, was still great to hear it though. Snippets of 40 and Fool To Cry can make anything sound good

it didn't get me in Dublin. Snippets at the start is just wrong

  5. Snippets at the end are better indeed. But it was my first Bad, cant complain. The vibe was there

  6. I liked the bass drum coming in.
  7. I liked Fool To Cry, was the only one in the near environment who felt it coming. Maybe even before the B-man himself

  8. disagree.
oh could they make uteotw a regular? wembley 2 = best uteotw ever for me.

  9. UTEOTW was great. Ideally there would be very little regulars though

  10. I think the best UTEOTW was at Rose Bowl.

  11. Like yourself I will be into double digits come end of leg 3, and close to 15 if they hit AUZ/NZ
I want some rotation, (not much is required, but some)

PERSONALLY FOR ME: PRIDE is a song that should be played on leg 3 (as it wasn't (except for one/two locaitons on leg 2), although YBR was nice, it wasn't that well received in NA.

Another way to look at this topic 'realalistically' is to think about the set list in terms of the album and pick 23-25 songs with at least 6-8 coming from the last 2 albums, taking into consideration the stage set up and everything else?

    NEW Album (SOA?)
