1. Hello All,

I wanted to let you know about a Project I am working on for 2010

I am looking to contact anyone going to any show in 2010 who is planning to take a camcorder or digital camera that shoots High Definition footage.

We will be creating Fan Filmed Videos for several shows and and being able to include as much footage as possible will make them even better.

All Videos/DVDs we create will be shared with everyone via torrent

PLEASE include in your email the type of camera and shows you will be attending, subject 'filmer'

I am also working to sponsor experienced filmers to film shows to ensure that their will be complete quality video for the shows to anchor video/dvds we will be producing

Some of you may be aware of the u2vertvideo project i ran in 2005, while it had some controversies, it produced some of the best audience shot videos up until that point.

With this 2010 project I plan to raise the bar and create some lasting high quality videos for all to enjoy.

If you are interested in supporting this project please email me at u2video2010@gmail.com

add me on facebook too , search u2video2010@gmail.com

You can see clips from many of the 2005 shows here:

    Thanks

  2. you know ..... its a great idea ...

IF ONLY the rest of the peeps would leave their bloody cameras at home !!!

It changed the concert experience so much .... everyone looking at their screens instead of loosing themselves in the music and the musicians .....

we dont have a brain and a memory for nothing ....
focus on taking it all in instead of focusing your camera 's

watching dvd's will erase your own experience, and you get a new one from watching the dvd ...
unless you sucked it up right there and then ....

ah welll .. do what you like, but I WONT take a camera along ... not even if you pay me ... thanx !

but good luck with your project, surely I WILL enjoy your finished product !

  3. Paul I get you,...I just watched some live videos from the early 90s and it's a totally different experience...ppl actually TAKE PART in a concert . I also will most likely not film GA concerts, and if, then only the songs I can bare...like those I can live without so to speak.

As for my seated concerts, I will def. film! I thought on opening such a topic on u2torrents and the German forum in order to organize who films at which show and who is willing to share. By that we can ensure that a camera doesn't just pop up after a multicam arrived (see marrion69 and the Berlin multicam for example).

@ Michael: Maybe you should open a topic where we can gather people and do the organisation once it comes closer...dunno. Like...who films which concert, who is willing to work on a multicam (editing) and such. Let's see how it works on facebook tho.

However I'm very happy that you are back in business so to speak. I didn't see you around on u2torrents the whole year and thought you died or abandoned the band!!!!
And yeah, the Hawaii multicam was my first all time fave bootleg!!!!

    Hope this works well.
    Cheers
    Katja

    *Edit*
I guess you only reach out for the American Leg ?
  4. you can wai until the shows are on us or over, the key to a good audience video like (hawaii) is organization, we all 3 knew each other and had our rolls o play.

After a show you can find 45 people who shot great HD clips, just scan youtube and hit people up. the problem is when you edited your eyes are seeing 45 different angles, it is not all together as good an experience as if you have a coordinaed effort

you need AT LEAST 1 guy in the stands shooting a stable 'anchor' angle that you can go to to give the video a good feel

I already have the filmers, editors, iem tapers and other contacts.

I would love to go to europe but it is expensive and i cant afford that, i will be happy to edit some euro shows if their is good footage that justifies the effort.

Looking forward to some multi cams from the US then. I wonder why nothing has popped up from the first US leg yet. Nothing compared to Europe!
  6. Welcome back to taping u2 michael, you raised the bar in 2005/6 and i'm sure you'll do the same in 2010...

  7. i wasnt able to attend or film any u2 in '09 but I plan on making upfor it in 2010

  10. Why is yours free but the other not?

Maybe you could cooperate instead of compete . Unfortunately im not much of help to any of you. Dont have a cam, dont have tickets.

I cant wait to see the end results though
  11. yes I will be very happy if we can coorporate!

    I contacted rulesmyworld
