    I agree about Crumbs and Stuck, but Bad? It's one of their masterpieces! Ok, it has been murdered since 1993, but... you can't compare it to Stuck In A Moment!!

    A Day Without Me would be fantastic, though. With the Dear Prudence snippet, Bono, thanks


  2. It was okay but that's because it was the first time I heard it live (in attendance). Know of better performances of the song throughout U2's history.

    True, off course there were better versions (the best probably the Self Aid concert in Dublin) but it was the vibe of that whole concert and the element of surprise. As Dieder said, the highlight was indeed UTEOTW.

    Gotta agree it was a suprise although there were some vague rumours.


  5. was massiveley pumped when I heard that uteotw intro sound. i wish in wasnt in the stands that gig. although the bored faces were funny though. as were the surprised ones looking at us going nuts

    i think they could also rework streets a little like popmart, longer ending, put a nice snippet in there (playboy mansion / zooropa)

    and i would like cant help falling in love back

    Would love to hear I Threw A Brick/A Day Without Me segment...would definitely pick up the pace of the show. I would also put I Will Follow in place of Mysterious Ways and move MW to the encore where there needs to be more tempo. Put Out of Control in the encore too.

    I'm all for variety in the show, as Dieder and others are saying. I've seen the boys 15 times when I see them in Philly in July. I would trade a crappy version of With or Without You that I've heard every concert since Popmart for a surprise playing of 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, Dirty Day, or One Tree Hill any day of the week. It was great 3rd leg of Vertigo when you didn't know what tunes would open encore and they were rotating older tunes.

    I think they should replace SBS with Please or Dirty Day on the main set, make Out of Control the second encore song, keep UV as the lead, and have a list of 10 tunes they pick from and play 3 a night (once early, one at the end of the main set, and then in the encore). This would ensure they play some classics old and new, songs regular and avid fans would appreciate, and songs would remain fresh.

    My list of 10 songs would be (choose 3):
    11 O'Clock Tick Tock
    I Will Follow
    Gloria
    New Year's Day
    Bad
    Pride
    The Fly
    Zoo Station
    Even Better than the Real Thing
    MoFo

    Songs they should put on the shelf:
    Stuck
    Elevation
    One
    With or Without You

    Hits that could replace them:
    All I Want Is you
    Desire (electric)
    Running to Stand Still
    One Tree Hill
    Stay
    Staring at the Sun
    The Fly

    I think these changes would make a show that has become kind of stale more tempo, variety, and rock.
  10. i've got a feeling they'll shake things up a bit when they start leg 3. think about it, no one, hardcore and casual fans alike, would be mad if they didn't hear the first half of ATYCLB, and they've got to be getting tired of playing those songs. plus, having this time off gives them time to perfect some songs they might been thinking about/wanting to play, and think about new ones. so i think we'll start hearing a bunch of different stuff once the tour starts up again.
    but on the other hand, they might have spent the whole break recording/masturbating, or they might just like playing the same songs over and over again, or maybe they just like pissing off/boring their fans to death, in which case we wont be getting anything new
