    Start with one at a time. 3 dvds at once will kill your ratio.
  3. Also watch out for freelech torrents, that means no download will affect your ratio, just what you upload. Freeleech torrents are makred with a turning, yellow "coin" next to its name.

    so much to consider. thanks a lot for the tip! I already saw this yellow "coin" thingy at some torrents, and I had no idea what it meant. now I do, will look out for that. thank you

    I dont like the FreeLeech idea to much, same for ratio donations.

    I know it is hard to maintain ratio and i know that it is mathematically impossible that everyone has a > 1 ratio. But everyone should be able to maintain a ratio of 0.5. In my opinion FreeLeeching is just for the leechers who dont care about sharing with others.

    Not saying that anyone who downloads a FreeLeech torrent is one, just that leechers are the ones that most benefit by it

  7. how come that when you're in the process of downloading a dvd, and you click on the not_yet_finished .vob files that are already on your computer, you can watch parts of the file you download and sometimes you have parts of movies or something entirely different inbetween the show. I understand that you download and upload bits of the files you want, but why do totally different files show up (and are gone when the U2 dvd download is finally completed) ?

    when you start the torrent your computer will create the file where the torrent bits will end up. So a 4gb dvd will mean a 4gb chunk of your disc space will be used up even though the download is only at 1%
