1. Any basketball fans on here?

Playoffs started today with the Bulls at the Cavs. Hopefully the Bulls can pick up a few games.

Any opinions on who might make a good run this year? can anyone stop the Cavs?
  2. I don't follow closely....how are ppl expecting the Mavs to do ? Do they have chances to make it far ?
  3. The Mavs play the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow. Most people have them as slight favourites but it's all to play for. The West is wide open this year.
  4. Blazers fan here....It's so hard to cheer for a franchise that has the worst luck in drafting centers and they've had unbelievably bad luck with injuries this year, most recently with their best player, Brandon Roy, hurting his knee 2 games before the playoffs started. So much for our playoff chances.

That's a great joke, do you tell that one at parties?

Coming from a Chicagoan, let me tell you, the Bulls are going nowhere. We've I've accepted this. How they made the playoffs is beyond me.

Nowhere until next season when LeBron signs with you....

  7. Is that seriously happening, or a joke? I seriously don't follow basketball much more than the promos for the games, and occasionally the Bulls games at friends house's where the sound of us goofing around overpowers the TV volume, so I can never hear...

    But....really? Haha..

EDIT: Just did some Google-ing...very interesting option. Might make basketball in this city a little more respectable! Derrick (Derek?) Rose had a portion of us in a tizzy when he started playing, but this might turn a few more people over.

I was just a little kid when Jordan and the Dream Team played, but I was at a playoff game at the United Center in...I believe '97? I've got pictures to prove it Don't remember a LOT, but hot DAMN, I remember him playing that night. To be able to say that I've seen that Dream Team in action is seriously one of my biggest bragging rights to my name.

That is a great one for the bragging rights!!

I can't see Le Bron coming to the Bulls. He already has a world class team around him in Cleveland so why switch to play with a team that is basically Rose and Noah plus 3? Money maybe!

Well, "the world class team" around him is actually pretty old. Sure, Cleveland can pay him more than anyone else, but Shaq will retire in a couple years, Jamison is getting up there...he's really a one-man show in Cleveland. Granted, he's the king of that city, but I've got a theory that he wants to prove himself better than Jordan, and what better way to do it than to go into Chicago and make the people of that city say "Michael who?" We'll see in a couple months, right?

    Go Blazers...

They made the playoffs because my Raptors put up a collapse for the ages to miss the playoffs in the last 2 months. Still looking forward to watching the playoffs, especially the West. Should be wide open out there.

The Bulls finished strong all the same. But lets be honest, the Raptors probably would have hung on if Bosh hadn't of been injured.
