1. I watched Popmart Live from Mexico City for the first time in 6 years yesterday. It makes me want more Pop stuff for 360. Mofo, Discotheque, If You Wear That Velvet Dress, Gone, Last Night on Earth, Staring at the Sun... oh god, Popmart was brilliant. Maybe try and bring back Do You Feel Loved. I think that would go brilliantly on the 360 stage.

  2. totally agree!

i think its quite ironic that most of the 90's songs would be much more suited to that beast of a stage than most of the stuff they are actually playing...

i just wish they would wake up and re-discover these amazing songs that have been pretty much completely rejected for the last 10 years...

And yet they'll be so glad to remaster them all, but forget about them at the same time. They should play an hour of Pop, 51 minutes of Zooropa and 58 minutes of Original Soundtracks at a special sort of show. Yeah, I know that's the entire run of the albums, but if those got played in three hours (minus OST for some people) that'd be even better than 360.

i'd sell the majority of my organs to be at that show...

  5. Especially to hear United Colours and Plot 180 as well as Miami.

I would cut Original Soundtracks. Only because I've never it. Btw, is Original Soundtracks good?

  7. yeah its bloodi amazing! i play it to people who think U2 are sh*t (nearly everyone i know) without telling them it's U2 then i sit back and enjoy the bemused look and confused feelings it causes them when i tell them who it is...

  8. Fucking mindblowing and brilliant. Skip Elvis Ate America and Ito Okashi though if you want a more cohesive listen. And the little plots for films, United Colours in particular is hillariously funny if you can imagine it to that. I use it sometimes for relaxation.

A lot of people dismiss it because they think the whole think is as boring and slow as Your Blue Room - it's all kinds of styles. You've gotta have it. There's a reason I put that album higher than Achtung Baby but not nearly as high as Zooropa or October.

couldn't agree more about skipping those two! well actually i'm usually slightly more inclined to skip elvis ate america as it annoys the hell out of me!

and it's also up there as one of my all time favourite U2 albums. but at the same time listening to it makes me a bit depressed when i remember how much more interesting and brave U2 used to be in the 90s and how listening to a brand new U2 album used to scare me on the first few listens. how i miss those days...
  10. Let's Go Native actually was my ringtone for a while. Now My World by Guns N Roses is and that literally frightens those who hear it. Should put United Colours on there too.

If any track besides YBR or Miss Sarajevo were played - but very unlikely - I'd be surprised if not shocked.

We'll hear When I Look At The World or Womanfish before any of OST or Pop tracks.

Sounds good! I've always been meaning to pick this up somewhere but where I saw it, it was £12.

When you say "not nearly as high as Zooropa or October", do you actually think October is that good an album?
