1. Personally, I love it, I don't think they could've chosen a better person, and Magnificent has re-found its spark for me, love the commercial.

    What do you guys think?

(If someone could embed the video that'd be great, I don't know how)

    Alex

  2. I LOVE IT TOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! They've used the best part of Magnificent (the intro) in order to get an incredible build-up. Awesome
  3. I prefer the Robben Island clip.

Find it somehow strange to hear Bono trivializing the world problems compared to the World Cup.
And Magnificent stays a cringe-worthy track. No matter what images you add.
  4. Why cant it just be Vertigo with Bono's mouth shut except for the parts he needs to sing

  5. I just wonder why is even involved with this. Say Africa and Bono is there.
  6. great spot
  7. Great promo!!! Hopefully there will be more U2 related World Cup Promos just like in 2006:

    Love them all

  8. What he says is true, funny how all these gobal issues that everyone has a different opinion on and begin conflicts over can be changed with the most simplest of games - football. The world cup isn't about anything that Bono rightly spoke about in that video, the only thing that matters are the 23 men who represent your country and if you haven't qualified, then it's still a great spectacle to witness.

For every 47 months in 48 the world is divided, only when the separate continents send their best footballing nations to compete against the other nations in a nominated country in front of the entire world do we put our differences aside.

  9. There are/will be 4. Magnificent, Out of control, Desire and Streets are used as background music. Plus some shorter, football only themed ones with city of bling lights, Beautiful Day, and so on.

  10. hmm i'm not sure. mixed feelings. its great to hear bono/u2 music involved in this but to hear bono say this...

Nice, bit cheap that the City of Blinding Lights one is using a lot of the same footage as the end of the world cup 2006 compilation though

Anyway looking so much forward to the World Cup...took a month off to watch everything!!!!
