Second of all, I stand by the idea that U2 should play "New York" every time they play in New York (East Rutherford NJ, on a stadium tour)...it should be their song, and it should be their special treat for a NY show. Would be a cool little "tradition"

Yeah, but you also like The Playboy Mansion.

The fact is U2 chooses the songs (not us) and even if you disagree with me, I'll probably be right. Not because I think I'm smarter than you but because the band (my favourite band) is, unfortunately, quite predictable when it comes to their shows. There are very few songs from the past that haven't been played in ages (or songs that have never been played at all) that will ever be played again. There are at least 50 songs for every Ultra Violet or Unforgettable Fire.

Just to stir things up a bit more, I've never really been a fan of Miami (the song) either. I've never been the the city itself. But I do like Dexter.

    what a great show

i duno which son id rather hear live.... i guess if they go all out with the lights and stage then miami cud probably look better
  5. hey nothing wrong with the playboy mansion!!
  6. "All I Want is You" hasn't missed a tour since its' release either. Obviously not as big of a deal as "Pride" or anything like that that's been around for years longer than AIWIY, but that song will never get old live. Let's have it.

It could go anywhere. Seriously. It could lead into "The Unforgettable Fire", into "Streets" like on Elevation, it could lead into "Walk On" (which I hope they won't keep but oh well), it could be in the encore...just PLAY it!

The setlist, especially from COBL onwards, has stayed pretty much as standard as you get. If they just played a completely different song at the beginning of the encore (or inbetween WOWY/MOS) every night I would be ecstatic. I'll be in Frankfurt next year and the thought of a surprise late in the set would keep me going through the 'anthems/general crowd pleasers' such as SBS, Pride (if it comes back, I hope not), Streets (which is still my favourtie song in the world, ever, but even I think they need to give it a rest and rediscover it), One and WOWY.

Can't wait to see what happens. Hope they don't disappoint us.

Great idea...I would be totally freaked and on the floor if they'd open with some Larry walking onto the stage and drumming (can be a stable song then, even Breathe), and start a second encore just like that: Larry walking out and starting with a random drum-orientated song, say Gloria, I Threw A Brick Through A Window, Seconds, Two Hearts ... and change that at least where they have 2 concerts taking place.
  8. Having seen 4 shows in Europe last year, I thought there were a few things that didn't work - The Unforgettable Fire, I'll Go Crazy remix, Tutu speech, etc. The set lends itself to Achtung Baby/Pop material, but it's such a complicated setup that I don't think we can expect huge changes.

    How about this:

    1. Breathe
    2. No Line on the Horizon
    3. Get On Your Boots
    4. Magnificent
    5. Beautiful Day
    6. Even Better Than the Real Thing
    7. One
    8. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    9. Staring at the Sun (acoustic)
    10. White as Snow
    11. Unknown Caller
    12. Acrobat
    13. City of Blinding Lights
    14. Discotheque
    15. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    16. With or Without You
    17. Walk On
    18. Where the Streets Have No Name
    19. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me

    20. Ultraviolet
    21. Running to Stand Still
    22. Moment of Surrender

You dont expect major changes and yet you've subbed out 7 songs in your set, one of them being Acrobat? Daring...

I'd like to see Running to Stand Still in the encore. It's never really been there before- always at the bottom third of the set (except for JT, where it was right smack dab in the middle). I'd love to see them take the confidence with that song to throw it into the encore as if to say, "Yes, this song IS that big." because it's a great song.

With that being said, we hadn't seen it since ZooTV once the Vertigo Tour rolled around- that was, in a sense, one of their "comeback" performances of the tour, much like Zoo Station. People were excited to hear RTSS again, I don't know if U2's purpose was the bring it back full swing, or just to be able to play it again on that tour cause it had been so long.

So, if ZooTV was the "comeback material" of the Vertigo Tour, whether or not the songs were specific to Achtung, PopMart should be the comeback of 360. And not just Pop material...POPMART material.

-All I Want is You (PopMart styled)
-Even Better Than the Real Thing
    -Pop stuff
