    We all need to see things in context. We are talking of a few percent of recession the last year. We can't go forward all the time.

    Sure there were countries hit harder, but they had issues before the crisis as well. Eastern and South Europe had delicate economies for years. It sucks, and it hurts people there. But it was bound to happen. It will happen again, to you and me.


    Dont listen to him. He's just a deranged anti-capitalist.

    I supposrt capitalism, and always will. Why? Very simple reason. Its the only one that gives you any real incentive to improve yourself.

    Also, for some reason, socialist/communist countrys, always end with the leader ordering the death of everyone who disagrees with him.

    He has a point though. Greed caused the crisis in the first place, but its just the nature of men. We always want more. It is a reason why we evolve and also why we fall back sometimes.

    Fact is that we are all fighting to survive. Some people / countries / continent fell behind. But in the future the roles might be swapped. Not saying its a good thing, but its life.

    I think capitalism is the best thing ever invented. Yeah its somewhat evil, but I belive in upwards mobility, and self-determination.

    You just dont get those with communism.
  4. It is severly flawed. When you run out of money, you just print extra. Also it makes the difference between rich and poor bigger.

    But there are no real alternatives.

    The lesser evil if you will.

    Lots of things we take for granted are severly flawed. Look at the human body. We use the same entrance for breathing, and eating. If you think about it, thats one of the worst flaws of all time. You gotta wonder how we evolved like that.

    Back to Greece:

    Two populists in holland: Wilders and Rita Verdonk (although her popularity dropped a long time ago) suggest we'd leave the Eurozone and go switch back to our Gulden.

    Never gonna happen, plus the Euro has too many advantages. We should just stop allowing every country to the Eurozone.

    But the rest are so weak. I hope i dont have to vote CDA

    I prefer having him ignore me.

    He hates me so much, he makes me and Yogi look like buddys.

    Edit: Also, he must be reading back quite far, since I think we can all agree my last ten or so post have been quite mellow, especially by my standards.

  11. In holland there only 2 kind of politicians:

    * Screamers, the populist, does everything to get anyones attention
    * Compromisers, swallows everything until nothing is left

    Holland did good last years, so CDA doesnt sound like a wrong choice. But the fact that they want to make a law about everything is a stopper.

    You really should see a debate here. Its worrying The unmotivated personal attacks, the cheap remarks.

    It really is worse than a soap serie.
