1. So the 2nd North American leg is less than a month away. Post here if you get any word about any rehearsals for the next part of the tour. Where are they rehearsing? What songs are they rehearsing? etc.
  2. I don't think they're rehearsing at all (or "not a lot" anyway)... Larry is with that film thing, Bono is on fashion and political activities as usual, and Edge and Adam are probably taking a beautiful tanned skin on the South of France
  3. Well that makes me feel like I won't have any "new" song to look forward to - I don't like that!

Actually they were reported to be at NYC in the past weeks, from where they took a plane to Gerry Ryan's funeral, so I think chances are they were at rehearsal. You don't throw a massive thing like 360 with litlle or zero rehearsal IMO.

  5. yeah thats sad but true - if there's no extensive rehearsals there will be no new songs...

doesn't that render the whole set changes for 2010 discussion irrelevant!?

Not necessarily; they may be using off time/soundchecks/empty-stadium-time to be rehearsing for the new material. I assume they'll set up shop in SLC about a week before the opening night and be doing their rehearsing then.

Rehearsing about 26 songs that you haven't played in years- some over 20 years, and some never before- that's a fortnight in Barcelona.

Rehearsing half of that material to sub in for other set positions? Not quite a fortnight. They'll run through the stuff they've already been playing, for sure, in soundcheck and whatnot, but it's silly to start worrying about this now. There's still 3 weeks before opening night in SLC, and they're not going to be rehearsing the ENTIRE setlist over again.
  7. I'm sure they will turn up in Salt Lake City a week or two in advance and have plenty of time to rehearse. It's what they did for the start of 360, the resumption of Vertigo in Brisbane for the 5th Leg as well as the start of the Vertigo Tour. The difference with the start of the Vertigo Tour was it was in arenas. If you look further back into the start of Popmart, once again the band is camped out in a stadium for a week rehearsing (or in that case learning)!
  8. Sorry - Double Post

    that would suck

  10. really looking forward to the reports from outside the stadium if they do start rehearsing a week or so before the show!

i'll never forget the first time the news they were actually playing ultraviolet came back from barcelona! now all i need is to hear that mofo bass synth thundering out of the stadium on some crappy mobile phone recording - all will be forgiven

on the other hand if i hear them playing something else from ATYCLB or HTDAAB that could be the final straw for me....
  11. I think they will start rehearsing cca 25th. May. 10 days is enough and rehearsals for the start of 360° Tour in Barcelona started 13 days before tour opening.
  12. Besides that, Bono just turned 50 and has a few days off..
