    +1

I used my frequent fliers points for the flights to Toronto and Chicago and they are of course non refundable Looks like I'll be having a non-U2 vacation this summer
But of course the most important thing is Bono getting back to 100 %
  2. Well...

    fuck.

  3. That'll never happen, at least outside... -11 F in Chicago is never good for someone's back
And of course it couldn't happen like somewhere in a stadium inside like the United Center which holds about 22,000 + 3,000 ish for GA since Soldier Field holds 80,000, the other 58,000 ticket holders would be lost.

  4. ......... all the best to Bono and his health...

but i agree, my summer plans are screwed (or insert EyesWithPrides word here!)

    5 NA shows (SLC,Seattle,Edmonton,Montreal I&II) all gone until 2011

    sH22

  5. This could be a good thing. As people have said before, maybe some South American dates could be added or more North American dates to make up for it.

Quite a bummer otherwise, get well soon Bono!
  6. They might add some european dates for 2011 if they will play Glastonbury next year
  7. All this speculation...I wonder when the first "Changes in setlist for postponed US Leg" will appear .

I'm very sad for the US fans who were so close, and now have to wait one more year.

True, but the south american fans also have to wait since 2006, so does australia, japan,....

But better wait one more year having a bouncy bono instead of a crawling one
  9. I just though they could release their new album between the European Leg of 2010 and the American Leg of 2011 and then play their new album tracks/material in 2011... Just a thought...

It's a possibility, would love for that but I ain't holding my breath
  11. Well, they said they even wrote a new song for Glastonbury, so perhaps they'll write other new stuff in their time off...last I checked, writing songs didn't require very much physical activity. On the bright side, this probably means that they'll be able to reschedule every show from this leg- so all of the people from Salt Lake City and the other early shows of the tour who were worried about them canceling their shows should be able to get a show back where they wanted it.

(And for me, it works out great, because I wasn't able to see them this summer...but I suppose that's not very much consolation for the others who wanted to go this year. I suppose you've got the U2 DVD to kind of hold you over? And we'll have boots in the fall from Europe...)
  12. Is it weird to think that the European leg could be skipped as well, at least the begin?
Eight weeks, minimum, recovery, but still after that time you need to be carefull not to overstrain it, so rehearsals begin August then 2 hour concerts? It's fine if these also go to 2011, normally you have to wait 4 years on the next concerts, now one year later is still gaining 2 years
