I'm "searching" DIME for John Mayer bootlegs (I know this isn't probably the BEST thread for the issue, but I didn't want to open up a brand new topic just so I could whine), and every time I use the search engine, no matter what I type, I get over 7000 results, none of which in the first few hundreds actually contain a single John Mayer performance.

    Ive tried searching the following-

    "john mayer" 2010
    +john +mayer +2010
    + john + mayer + 2010
    "john mayer 2010"

And I get the same exact thing each time.

Perhaps its because I'm sick, I'm getting too easily frustrated and impatient...but damn. Why is it this hard? Seriously? Why is a comprehensive search engine SO hard to attach to a torrent site?

I found something, contains torrents of 2010 performances. didn't start the download though, but maybe you want to try? I hope this is what you're searching for, in any way.

  2. Yeah, I complained about the search engines of DIME (and all the torrent sites in general) a week ago, they suck suck suck. Long live Google.

Will be nice when his leg-closer in Chicago is posted, but I can stave myself off until then...
    THANKS!

  5. i don't get it really... for me, dimeadozen search works like a charm... weird

  6. LOL, that seems unreal. I have never got such decent results
  7. works also for U2T here... I don't know why it works here and not for everybody... I'm not joking.

Can't imagine it is platform and/or browser dependent, but what could possibly be the explanation for a search function to work for some people only?

  8. Did you use + like noiseless did? Those are important. I think they used boolean search mode, there is a lot of info on it on the net. We use boolean search + some context recognition to recognize dates and shows.

Also most engines dont search for words less than 3 characters long like U2

Definitely not platform / browser dependent
  10. Yeah, I definitely used all the +'s.
  11. I guess everyone else is having problems accessing the site?

I get this message all the time:

    DATABASE: mysql_connect: Too many connections
