    So kinda muffled and echoey?

  2. Not muffled, but yes a bit echoey and less clear than a real soundboard. It sounds more like a FM broadcast than a official release.
  3. here in holland it says 4th of june, still.. hope its not delayed!
anyway i bought two; bluray and the limited editionbox set!

But in box set is bluray too...
  5. one of the worst 360 shows i've listened to i'm afraid. Just can't get into it.
  6. I haven't really heard it properly but from what I remember on Youtube it wasn't THAT great.

I'm still gonna buy it and rip the audio though I think

  7. Big miss for U2 again. Still don't see the point of not releasing an European show.

  8. It's not even that. It just sounds so uninspiring, I hate the setlist and I now can't stand the mix.Think i'll make do with the hour long preview tonight and save my money.
  9. With the Super Deluxe delayed in the U.S. I am just going to download from Itunes to get me through until June 22nd. I would want it for my Iphone anyway.

Agree. It's not only about the place and time, also the band was not on fire. Watched the entire Youtube-gig as we all did, but it looked like the band was nervous or something. And you can add a lot of color and filters to make it look amazing, but the performance remains the same. And that's not so good.

Will judge completely after Friday though.
  11. I just saw COBL at U2.com.
That isn't the editing that's on the dvd right?
Because when it is, I hate it
  12. Actually I'm not too disappointed by the audio. They've released better, they've released worse.

Dynamics seem okay, as expected it's more bass heavy than I like but not as bad as I feared and to me personally the audience is mixed in pretty appropriate. But that's just me.

That being said, the overall mix isn't very consistent and it annoys me terribly to hear Edge panned left on some tracks, panned right on other tracks, like they randomly swapped channels from time to time. Bono sounds like the vocals were compressed too much (let's call it the Sheffield Syndrome), terrible at spots.

So I'm not too disappointed but still I think a band of U2's stature really needs different folks. This show was recorded in 100+ separate tracks plus 20+ audience tracks and they had quite some fucking time to achieve an outstanding mix. To compare, all Pearl Jam shows are recorded, mixed and mastered within a few days without any yackety-yack and overall, they sound better and more consistent to my ears.

About the show itself, well I would have preferred an inspired show too but we won't ever see it happen because they evidently just don't have a gut feeling for it.

Maybe after they've released "Greatest Hits 2000-2010", "15 Smash Hits including 2-track DVD", "Greatest Remixes" and "Mediocre, Raw & Rebutchered", they'll find time to exploit the vaults and start releasing the good shows. One never knows what will happen when the sell-out is nearing completion.

I'll buy it, maybe. But when they fuck up the Achtung Baby remaster, this will be the very last U2 product I've ever bought: end of credit rating.

By the way: Adam really is the hero of the tour. I really enjoy all the variations in his riffs.
