1. Just to keep my things clear with Aaron. I wrote this to him about 2 weeks ago:

I don't give a damn if now he is "the victim" and the guy put to corner.... I don't give a damn. I have nothing against his ideology, nothing about his ideas. It's with HIM and his manners with which I have the problem.

  2. People on both sides in the states kinda think of that man as a joke.
  3. Under international law, Israels blockade is legal to the letter, if not the spirit. Therefore the enforcement of it is also legal.

Furthermore, if were looking at the big picture, the majorietie of countrys in the middle east do have kistorys of human rights abuses. Why fucus on Israel? Is it because its an American ally? So's Saudi Arabia, and they deny there citizens religious freedom, and have homosexuality as a crime punishable by death.

Either the left is anti-Israel, considers Islam a protected group, or a little of both.

By the logic of this board, if a cop wants to question me, for something I didn't do (which has happened to me before) I have the right to bash his skull in with a baseball bat, take his sidearm, and use it to shoot his partner.
  4. In the inrest of moving forward, does anyone on here belive in FEMA camps? Yesterday, I was chatting with a buddie of mine who was 100% sure they were real.
  5. There is another humanitarian, Irish boat on the way to Gaza as I write.

On the boat are Mairead Corrigan Maguire, Nobel prize winner and Dennis Holiday, ex diplomat who also worked in UN.

Israel is currently disabling their communications devices.

I though there was two more "humanitarian" boats on the way.

What exactly is it thought to be?

  8. A weird conspiracy theory that has been around since Clinton was in office. The basic idea is that at some point the Federael Emergency Management Agency at some point is going to round up all those deemed a threat to the "New World Order" and throw them in internment camps.

Its one of the few conspiracy theories that has supporters on both the left and right.

Personally, I think its B.S. U.S. citizens would never stand for this.
  9. I don't post much on this thread- in fact, I think this is my first- but I thought I'd share this. Read it on John Mayer's blog.

I realize he's no revolutionary, and that he's not the first with this idea/mindset either, but I thought he was very well spoken:

I believe that the BP oil spill could have even bigger ramifications on our country than we already realize.

If this disaster exits the public consciousess without there being a 1:1 ratio of fault to accountability, then we as a nation will have demonstrated to our government (and the corporations whose interests they protect) that there is nothing we won't tolerate - that under any circumstances of wrongdoing, even one without moral or religious debate, we can be manipulated and made to forget. And if we allow that precedent to be set, there will be no turning back. They will know something no democratic government ever should: that no matter the circumstances, they can always fall back on the people losing interest if they can be distracted long enough.
