1. Barcelona's heat is not as tough as Madrid's, though. They have 34-36ºC max. (that 30th of June, we had about 32-33ºC with a 80% of humidity), but here, every summer we have one full month (from 20th of June to about 30th of July) over 40ºC ....... Lovely, lovely Madrid
  2. It was too hot for me that day. Just was not prepared for it. I was in bad shape when i got outside. Had to lie down for a while and ended up vomiting. Ended up sleeping for most of the next day

    We ain't built for heat
  4. Noone`s built for 35C degrees and 80 percent of humidity, it is physically devastating. I understand Gerard.

  5. Sorry you felt that bad afterwards, Gerard I remember a couple that had been standing next to me inside the circle for hours... and at some point, she got ash pale and started to sway, and her boyfriend/husband called for the medics and they brought her out of the GA.... that was no more than half an hour before U2 came on stage. I felt so sorry for her, the whole day queueing in the heat and then she missed the concert

Sergio, I'm not sure I'll ever go to Madrid then Barcelona was already too hot for me. We have 35 and more degrees here as well in the summer, but the humidity is different. If I had to chose between the heat of Spain and the rain of Ireland....the latter means less life danger for me
  6. to go back on topic... it is my personal U2 anniversary today

on June 12, 2005 --> my very first U2 concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany
on June 12, 2006 --> my first U2 related tattoo

and on June 12, 2008 --> met Bono and Edge at HQ in Dublin

even though we'd spent more than 13 hours in the cold rain and felt like dying and all.... we saw them all, the band, the crew... and finally met Bono and Edge, in the middle fo the night (they were the very last to leave HQ) today, 2 years ago it was...

    Great pictures!

    Congrats

  10. pure luck, I guess when we were there, the band was in full work on the album. we hadn't expected to see anyone at all when we walked to the studio, and then... they all came in during the afternoon sometimes the luck is with the foolish

I still can't believe it, but it really happened I'm just so glad we could take a photo, otherwise I'd doubt my own senses it was for real... it indeed seemed unreal back then, in the black of a summer night in Dublin, after hours of rain and all, way after midnight, in the middle of nowhere (the docks at night are no place you wanna hang around as a girl, I tell you)... and suddenly your favorite singer and guitarist stand right in front of you, shake your hand and talk to you.... what a blessing it was

    thank you, Aidan
  11. Happy anniversary Kirsten - such a good story, put a smile on my face
